Always good, Good Magazine has a synopsis on the decade in design that started the new millenium. It was a wild ride for most of us and marked the first decade for me personally as a professional graphic designer/illustrator/web designer/actionscript writer/exhibiting artist/editor/copywriter/art director/blogger/creative entrepreneur. Just from my own personal list of exploits, which I narrowed down for the sake of sanity, you can get an idea that the last decade was one in which we all had to adapt and move quickly as dotcoms crashed, bubbles burst and economies went bust. I think we are all hoping for better things in the next decade, and I think they will come but making them happen will require an active hand from all of us. That much we can all be sure of. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, you can read down the quick list of what happened in what is now the past at Good Magazine.
& a happy twenty ten to you all. I wish you all the very best in this new year and hope it proves to be a great one for all of us together.
Comments Off on GOOD MAGAZINE: Organ HarvestingPolitics
Good Magazine is suggesting the idea that organs could be harvested from death row inmates. Currently no plan for something like this exists within the United States. It’s a dicey issue considering strong feeling about capital punishment. Personally, I am against it. Although I know there is absolutely no way I could ever understand what it would be like to lose a loved one to murder. I have had someone in my family nearly die in an accident and that forever changed my outlook on life and the value of life. It’s been hard for me ever since to side with terminating another person’s life for any reason. To me, it highlights a flaw within our societal makeup that is not addressed by capital punishment. It cuts the weed but doesn’t pull the root.
So, what do you think? Does this sound like a good idea? Good is suggesting, so long as we have capital punishment, it might as well be used to save lives in turn even though one is lost through the saving. It sounds like a smart idea to me and I know it could help a lot of people but it is hard for me to get around my personal feelings toward capital punishment.

Interesting video here from Good Magazine that made me realize if I just had a little bit of porn on this website, things might be going a lot smoother. Damn you integrity. Damn you to hell. Seriously though, there are some people raking it in out there. Damn.
