The Offset 2010 event in Dublin, Ireland will soon be kicking off from October 1st through the 3rd. Last years event included speakers such as Massimo Vignelli, Chip Kidd, James Jean, House Industries, The London Police, Sir Peter Blake, Oliver Jeffers, Pentagram, Dave McKean, Experimental Jetset and Tara McPherson. This years event is being hosted at Grand Canal Theatre, situated right in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands. It’s a really great venue for a meeting of the creative minds. We wish terribly that we could be there. Hopefully next year. What better reason do you need to visit Dublin.

Dublin-based artist/illustrator Denise Nestor has a nice series of fashion-inspired pencil drawings in her Flickr-folio. The layering effect in some of the pieces is striking. You can also view her work via blog-folio Trees for the Woods.
