I wrote about Cecilia Carlsedt on my last blog, but she has since updated with a lot of new work that is more than worth a little extra time to check it out. Cecilia was born in Stockholm in 1977 and has been highly educated in Graphic Design and Fashion Illustration. She has attended The London College of Communication, The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and The University of Stockholm. It shows in her work as well. There is a large volume of it on display at hesite and each piece delivers something unique with guaranteed quality.

Clae is regarded as the pioneer of the ‘athleisure’ footwear movement. Clae launched in 2001 with its hybrid collection combining the comfort of a street-ready sneaker with classic footwear styling resulting in a new kind of casual. The brand was awarded the Sportswear International Fashion Award (SIFA) for ‘Best Men’s Footwear Collection’ in 2003. After a brief 3 year incubation, they have returned with some new cult classics and revamped models.
If you like to keep your clothing simple, timeless yet stylish, Clae is a strong contender in the shoe department. You can purchase their wares directly from their website.

There are all kinds of very inexpensive and very nicely done pieces of art for sale at The Shiny Squirrel. You can also find clothing, collages and even paintings in their store, all available at very reasonable prices and purchasable online. It is an interesting trend to see stores like this cropping up. I love it and hope to see more of it. It’s nice to see art that is accessible to the masses.

The affair offers up t-shirts referencing issues and ideas that are a little more high-brow then your average pop-culture savvy trend-whoring consumer might be interested in. Especially in a trend-whoring pop-culture savvy industry like ours (design and advertising). So, if you like the idea of sporting something that ‘looks’ trendy but references an issue, idea or book that you might feel strongly about then the line of t-shirts at The Affair were made just be for you. If you want to know even more about them, you can also read up on their blog. Is it just me or does anyone not have a blog these days?

Susanita claims she functions as a Graphic Designer but begins playtime after 6:30 PM where she creates some of the trendy but interesting work found at I am Susanita. Although I have seen a lot of this kind of thing lately, it still always manages to grab me. There is just something about pretty fashion photographs with cool little doodles around them. Am I crazy or do you like it too? Let’s just hope for Susanita’s sake she can roll that play time over into her day job and stop functioning and start thriving.

From what I can tell from his website Eugenio Recuenco is a Spanish Photographer with an amazing vision and an eye for breathtaking detail. His broadcast work is stunning and his unique sensibility makes him a prime candidate for high-octane agency broadcast work. I would love to throw a spot at him. Spend some time sifting through his work because you will be rewarded by the breadth of his amazing talent.

There is some seriously sweet duds for grabs by the underground fashion brand +41 at their website. The problem is, they are asking for Euros not dollars and that doesn’t exactly make them cheap for those of us who have the misfortune of working in the Bush economy. If you feel like springing for and expensive t-shirt on the other hand, you could do a lot worse. Their new 42 Hubble Serie of tees are a particular standout, especially if you are a sucker for Hubble space telescope imagery like myself. If only I had thought to screen those images onto a t-shirt.
