Does this remind anyone else a little bit of the 90’s? Any of you old enough to remember being a teen and watching MTV in the 90’s anyway.

“Record Club No. 4 is here…! Joining in this time we had three of my favorite bands— Liars, Annie Clark and Daniel Hart from St. Vincent, Sergio Dias from the legendary Brazilian band Os Mutantes, as well as RC veteran Brian Lebarton, just back from the Charlotte Gainsbourg tour. The record covered this time was 1987 blockbuster ‘Kick’ by INXS. The record was chosen by fellow Aussie, Angus from the Liars. It was recorded in a little over 12 hours on March 3rd, 2010. It was an intense, hilarious, daunting and completely fun undertaking. Thanks to everybody for being there and putting so much into it. Many classic moments, inspired performances and occasional anarchy. We’ll post the songs consecutively in the album’s original sequence. First one up is ‘Guns In The Sky.'”
Amazing music and a great project that you can learn more about by visiting Beck’s personal website.

Sean Stiegemeier shot this time-lapsed photography video for the band Stomacher while over the course of a year while traveling to Prague, Japan, Banff, Utah, Oregon, California and more. Sounds like a good gig.
If you have yet to give the new Yeasayer album ‘Odd Blood’ let this new video directed by Radical Friend serve as the extended hand into one of the better albums to have been released so far in 2010. There is a strange kind of ‘Star Wars’ cantina thing happening in the video mixed up with some kind of 80’s post-apocalyptic Cyndi Lauper dance rave. You can grab the rest of the credits for the video here at the Vimeo page.
Here is the latest from the man everyone loves to hate Kanye West for the single ‘Coldest Winter’. It’s a slick video which is to be expected, and I am going to let you finish watching it but I just want to say that Beyonce has one of the greatest videos of all time.

Evan Owen Dennis wrote in to let me know about a new music video he directed for the band The Antlers for their single ‘Bear’ off of the album ‘Hospice’. It’s a great video for a great band. The album isn’t new but the video is, possibly because more people have come around to the band this year after the albums reception last year.

I am not sure if this music video by Superelectric for NOISIA’s latest single ‘Machine Gun’ from their new album ‘Split The Atom’ is an official video or not, but it doesn’t really matter because it’s bad ass.
Here is the official music video for the single “Stars” by Warpaint, taken from the ‘Exquisite Corpse EP’ (released on Manimal Vinyl). The video was filmed in the ashes of the Angeles National Forest.

“Humble directing collective Hydra, follows up its VMA nominated debut with an epic narrative of tiny proportions. For “Uprising,” the lead off single from Muse’s eagerly anticipated new album, our boys tweaked both time and space to create an dystopic, ultra slo-mo world in 1/25th scale. We shot for 4 days on 2 continents, with two 1938 GMC pickup trucks (of drastically different size) using both the RED and Phantom cameras to get the dreamy,
slo-mo look the story demanded.”
After you watch the video and get your groove on, be sure to pay a visit to Humble’s website. Brilliant direction and animation is happening in their exceptional portfolio.
Here is the new Chromeo video for their Green Label Sound single, “Night By Night.” You can download the track for free at GreenLabelSound.com. I gotta be perfectly honest, I love Chromeo and have since I first played them on my car stereo. You can’t miss when you put them on at a party.

More deliciously fun strangeness for Major Lazer’s latest by director Eric Wareheim.

I am digging this new video for Yeasayer’s latest single ‘Ambling Alp’. I apologize but I can’t seem to track down who directed or produced the video. But I dig it.

This is the music video for White Rabbits “Percussion Gun” from “It’s Frightening” directed by Andrew Droz Palermo. I dig these guys. Discovered via the always prolific Booooooom.
Alasdair Brotherston and Jock Mooney were just nominated for an MVA for this nice little diddy created for Tom Fun Orchestra. They deserved the nomination.
