Cee-Lo Green (Gnarls Barkley) has some choice words for all you gold diggers out there. The guy’s a genius. You just have to admit it. How many people are going to be singing this? Sign ‘o the times I guess when the new pop anthem chorus on everyone’s tongue starts with ‘fuck you’.
It’s time to get crunk and burn this motherf*cker down in this video directed by Daniels for the single ‘Pidgeons’ off of the upcoming self-titled album by The Hundred in the Hands. I have felt like this before but I usually puke fire the morning after. It’s always been my curse, I am a next day puker.

Moresoon devised this promo for Ratatat’s single ‘Drugs’ produced by Blink Art and Colonel Blimp. It makes an interesting use of what seems like stock imagery that slowly but surely begins to go awry over the coarse of the video. I’d avoid any mushrooms or LSD while watching this one.

“An animated mind melt into a post human New York where TV and animals rule. All cast to the sincerely melodic soul of Blockhead’s ‘The Music Scene.'”
Uh wow. This is trippy and totally awesome. That’s really all there is to say about it I guess. Apparently this was entirely created by A.F.Schepperd who both animated and directed the video. It’s quite a feat and I would imagine he will be sought after for a while by some new clients.

Everyone knows I am a huge MGMT fan so I just have to post this recent video for the single “It’s Working” off of their recent album directed by So Me. I went to see them last week at Red Rocks and it started raining cats and dogs. I was seriously worried about my wife’s health and proving that chivalry is not dead decided we needed to bolt. So unfortunately I did not even get to see them play a single lick on their guitars. It was a huge disappointment. I had tickets the same weekend to U2 and that show was canceled because of Bono’s back surgery. Bummer of a weekend for music but my admiration for MGMT remains strong and I will see them perform sometime in the future.
Ed Banger Records just released this video for Breakbot featuring Irfane for the single ‘Baby I’m Yours’. It was composed of 2000 watercolor paintings combined to create the final animation. Impressive. And a catchy toon to boot.
This video by Arni and Kinski for the Sigur Rós single ‘Glósóli’ is just simply beautiful. The song and the video are beautiful. Apparently it’s been online for 4 months and I don’t know how I missed it but it’s oh-so-nice. It’s art. Plain and simple. I really like Sigur Rós. And that’s all I have to say about that.
This is the official music video for the single ‘What I Like’ by Parisian DJ/Producer Knuckles (now known as Sovnger). The video was shot on the Paris Metropolitain in association with the International Theater School Jacques Lecoq. I believe the video was produced by Paul Bryan.
Is Charlotte Gainsbourg the new and even more hipster version of Bjork (in a sort of folk more down to Earth sort of way at least)? Whatever she is, I like her a lot and keep finding new reasons like both this song and video to be a fan. She is really multi-talented and I think we are only hitting the tip of the iceberg as to what she is capable of as an actress, musician and artist.
Nexus Productions sent me this video today and it scared me a little because I was starting to wonder if they killed the musician in the making of the video. It’s not exactly the most terribly exciting video ever but it is a simple and effective concept which I appreciate.
For some odd reason, every time I travel through Miami Airport on my way to Brasil, I am always intrigued and bemused by how many Brazilians like to shrink wrap their luggage. I can’t say how many times I have stared at that machine and wondered what it would be like to shrink wrap a person. At least now I know.

This hand-drawn animated music video was created by Raymond Prado for Singer-Songwriter Matthew Bryan’s song ‘Wasted’. Over 6,000 frames were drawn by Prado to create the video. Wow.
Leah Morgan both illustrated and directed this video for Tahuna Breaks single ‘Giddy Up’. Editing and animation was provided by Morten Leirkjaer. Produced by Fish N Clips Auckland, New Zealand.
“A cheeky song about a naughty topic visually depicted within a parody of a 70s childhood classic.”
Yeah, those are dicks. So you have an idea what you might be in for when you click that playhead button.
Olivia Newton John meets satanic cult (with a pinch of KISS for good measure) in this 70’s throwback directed by Geremy Jasper and Georgie Greville of Legs for Goldfrapp’s latest single ‘Alive’. I love those metallic tights. You can read the rest of the credits for the video here and get some questions answered on the making of.
