For more info on the band (who really kick ass) you can go here. Might I suggest a little iTunes download perhaps?
This is their latest video for “No One Does It Like You,” produced by the Directors Bureau, directed by Patrick Daughters and Marcel Dzama, and featuring costumes and sets designed by Dzama. The video recently premiered at MoMA on March 24 as part of the PopRally event “No One Does It Like You.”
This is the first single and video (and song on the actual album tracklist) from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs latest album release ‘It’s Blitz!’ The concept is that all the world is your stage. I think my favorite part is the behind the stage subtitled audio dubbing. That and the fact that Karen O looks like a million bucks. Celebrity has been good for her.
As for the song, well it’s pop-rock at it’s lip-smacking sweetest.
Comments Off on Sebastien Tellier – KilometerMusic
Sebastien Tellier is a French pop singer who just embodies what I think (though I have no firsthand experience because I have never been there) what a French rockstar should be all about. Sexy girls in panties, gyrating hot dogs, beard, long hair, partying hard and singing in English of course. It could be interpreted as cheese but I will eat that cheese any day smothered over my freedom fries.
Wow, I am just continually blown away by Sigur Ros. I have to see them live in concert next time they come to Denver. If they are that good live then I have been missing out. They just sound amazing.
“A trip across Paris in a van. Lost drumsticks. A cafe you’d never expect to visit before the age of 60. An hour of waiting, and then, voilà–a few notes on the harmonium, a grand piano, a heavenly voice. Sigur Ros on a Take Away Show.”

Apparently, since I missed it because I am a nine to fiver, We Have Band was the talk of the town at this year’s SXSW. So let me introduce you if you were like me and have yet to hear. This is the video for their current single ‘Oh!’ directed by Tom Ellis at Last Seagull.
I got my hands on this track a quite a while back and just realized today there is a video for it. Pure happiness in this tune. It’s hard not to like it. Hang on to this one for some summer party play.
The art direction and photography in this one is pretty damned nice, I am on the fence though about the song (probably best enjoyed with psychedelic drugs). Just a suggestion though, not condoning anything.
Wow, beautiful cinematography/photography in this video. The song is called ‘I’m confused’ from the Handsome Furs. Apologies, my header plugin doesn’t allow for special punctuation like commas (even though they don’t seem that special).

Pitchfork updated with a brand new website that makes it a little easier to find your way around their massive amount of content. This may not be design related but Pitchfork has long been one of my first stops for music reviews and information. I check their album reviews a couple times a week and have for a very long time now.
Keeping in tandem with the seizure-inducing theme (alright now I am being sarcastic) here is another interesting video based around the concept of nuclear fusion in the micro-world from W+K Tokyo Lab creator, Genki Ito.
WARNING: And I am serious here, be careful watching this if you have epilepsy or prone to seizures. This is one of those videos that really could send you into shock (no I am not being sarcastic).
Other than that, enjoy.
