Here is an interesting little diddy directed by none other than the notorious David Lynch for the forthcoming album ‘Wait For Me’ from Moby. The song is entitled ‘ Shot in the Back of the Head’.

Roger TV has updated with new work and a slick new website. And I am a sucker for big huge photos of scary bears. Awesome incarnate.
David Y Chun launched his portfolio with some slick motion board work.
New reel from Motherland. I love the coffee-drinking bookend. There is more than a little truth in that.
Thanks for the email guys.
Another mind-blowing study from Flight 404.
There is a new reel and some new work in the portfolio of Dreamers Ink Aesthetics. And it’s good stuff.
Director/designer Christian Bevilacqua has posted a new reel. Wow is all I have to say. For my money, it doesn’t get much better than the dancing baby in his reel.
Hyper Island student Jonas Persson has some really nice motion work in his portfolio. I’d keep an eye on him because it looks like he has a bright future ahead of him.
Created over 9 weeks using Maya and After Effects by this man right here. Pretty damned impressive if you ask me. Awesome in fact.
“When Justin was a partner at Lambo in 2006, he directed the New pollution open for Fuel Tv in SD. Fuel Tv loved the package so much they returned to Justin to re create a similar package in HD. They wanted to stick with the same characters and story line. Expect they felt mud man resembled more than mud…… so Rock Man was born, Mud Man’s distant cousin who is definitely more bad ass and isn’t by any means ambiguous about what he’s made of. Other than Mud to Rock, our journey begins in the mountains. As well the style advanced a bit from a contrived lo-fi kitsch to more of a polished cinematic action trailer. Long live the monsters, next time were just gonna make a full length feature and Mc Donald’s action figures to go along with. Enjoy !”
Wow, 30 seconds of kick ass. You can also check out pictures from the production of the spot here. How much fun would it have been to work on that project?
‘YOU WILL BE INCORPORATED!’
“An award-winning portrait of corporate culture run amok in which a single executive recruits an army of clones to attack, behead and ‘incorporate’ an old money industrialist. The film features an aggressive, stellar musical composition by Jim Guthrie. This is the first pixel film by SUPERBROTHERS.”

There is some super slick motion/animation/3d work in the portfolio of Agency Collective. Really beautiful imagery with serious attention to detail.
Mathieu Gérard created “Steel Life” for his master thesis at Arts et Technologies de l’Image. There isn’t really a tangible narrative to the film. It is more a work of abstract realism utilizing imagery inspired by nature.
The soundtrack, composed by Mathieu Alvado and performed by the Star Pop Orchestra, is really amazing and does a lot of work to create a really compellingly grand sense of scope and drama. As an abstract piece, it is really beautiful.
The film will be screened at this year’s F5. festival (I so wish I could be there).
You can also check out the inner-workings in Gérard’s making-of film.
All of this found by way of the almight Motionographer.
Christopher Hewitt (formerly of Dstrukt) has started a new film and animation studio titled ‘Bearfight‘. Keep your eyes peeled for future work. Chris is really good.
I was really impressed by this on several levels.
