Ian Pfaff’s mutha-fuckin’ demo reel kind of made my entire Monday. A ‘creepy old lady made out of junk with a dildo for a face?’ He’ll build it.

Digital Kitchen have revamped their online presence. We have worked with them before at Cactus and the are one of the best out there.
Yelena Yemchuk was born in Kiev in the Ukraine. At age 11, she moved to the U.S. where she began directing music videos and pursuing her passion for photography in 2000. It has been ever upward and onward for her since.
Great little video directed by Chris Milk. I can still remember the first time I saw panties and was punched in the face by an angry Pauly Shore. Ahh the good ole days.
Jonas and Francois are a French (Paris-based) directing duo that are responsible for some of the more memorable music videos in the last couple years. Their roster of music video clientele includes Ed Banger Records, Kanye West, JUSTICE (the video above for D.A.N.C.E. is brilliant) and Kavinsky, among others. Several of their videos have spread like wildfire across the web in the last few months.
You can find out a little more about them at their MySpace page and if you are looking for a music video or commercial with a French creative twist they are currently repped by Caviar Content.
My friends from Lifelongfriendshipsociety sent me this a week or so back and I forgot to post it. They were tasked with putting together an experimental video promoting Google’s new web browser, Chrome. The end results of which was the quirky storytelling and kick ass style that LFS is known for and why they continue to grab big-name clients.
Here is a brief description of the project:
“Helmed by LFS director Brian Close, Caged Rage 3: Binary Budokan is a frenetic, stylish, romp through mediums including eye-popping computer animation, live action and stop motion animation. Infused with elements of Japanese Anime and 70’s martial arts movies, an office worker turns samurai on his to do lists, using the power of Google Chrome to accomplish near heroic tasks in record time.”
Good stuff guys. Miss you guys. Thanks for the creepy video Bridget (it made me kind of sick to my stomach). I want to come up and visit you guys sometime before the end of the summer (maybe I can bring Lee along).
Roger TV has updated with new work and a slick new website. And I am a sucker for big huge photos of scary bears. Awesome incarnate.
New reel from Motherland. I love the coffee-drinking bookend. There is more than a little truth in that.
Thanks for the email guys.
Director/designer Christian Bevilacqua has posted a new reel. Wow is all I have to say. For my money, it doesn’t get much better than the dancing baby in his reel.
Asif Mian has some brilliant direction work up for inspirational viewing. It doesn’t stop there either. There is equal parts brilliance in the Art Direction and Design section of the site. Be sure to check out both. Real talent.
Aaron Kemnitzer has updated with some nice motion/direction work.
Not entirely sure how the work of Blur slipped my attention. Amazing work for a very impressive roster of clients. I know I have seen their work before but I just never put two and two together. Needless to say, it was a nice little discovery today.
Another amazing talent I was reminded of while scouring the net from the almighty Booooooom is director and photographer Timothy Saccenti. His work is just wild. Really really cool imagery.

Updates in the portfolio of Motion Direction Creative Studio, Onesize.
Fantastic direction and motion work in the stellar portfolio of Krozm.
Motion-house 1st Avenue Machine has relaunched their site which now features full-browser video (a little bit of a processor cruncher though). Better yet, this full browser video features a beautiful nude (yet strangely nippleless) woman being transformed by laser blasting robot arms into a cyborg. How’s that for ass-kicking awesome?
Chandler Owen and William Boyer recently formed a new motion studio called Signal, in Charlotte, NC. Signal writes, concepts, sketches, designs, produces, directs, shoots, animates and edits for projects created for all screens including film, television, video, internet and DVD.
They have some big named clients already in their book, no doubt from prior experience. Their production is top quality though and I would say they are definitely off and running already at a sprinter’s pace. Excellent work.
