Klaus Voormann is a globally-celebrated illustrator who has been generating album art creative since 1958. His work includes the cover for the Beatles album, Revolver. You have no doubt seen his work before and now you can peruse a large cross section of his portfolio at his site.
Thank you for the link It’s Nice That.
Madrid-based illustrator Gabriel Moreno has some strikingly beautiful work in his portfolio. Really gorgeous imagery. I absolutely love the illustration above which you could purchase from a recent exhibition of his work here.
The talented illustrator Andrew Archer has updated his portfolio since I last posted his work way way back in January.
Lysergid has updated with even more visually stunning digital illustration/design work. There are some really spectacular visuals up for inspiration sake.
Yuta Onoda is yet another illustrator mixing traditional painting and drawing methods with digital touches. His work is simply gorgeous and feels as thought it were lifted directly from a dream.
I believe I have posted Pierre Vanni’s work before but I stumbled across his Flickr page today and was really impressed by some images of an exhibition he did a long time back.
Egil Paulsen is an Oslo-based illustrator artist currently studying computer science. He works digitally to produce some very expressionistic imagery.
Johnny Kelly has some really nice cut-paper work in his Flickr-folio. I have seen a lot of it floating around the net lately and have wondered who was responsible. You can see a little more of his work at Mickeyandjohnny as well.
Jan Kallwejt updates yet again with another strong showing of illustration work. He is really rounding out his style with simple, stylish and effectively communicative imagery. Its nice to see him illustrating for the likes of Newsweek.
Tappin Gofton have been generating album art for some of the biggest acts in the industry (Coldplay, Chemical Brothers, Travis, etc.) for the last several years. All the while they never had a proper portfolio site online to take in the full breadth of their inspiring work. That has all changed since they recently launched their online portfolio.
Not sure how I missed this but You Work For Them is selling a really nice glow-in-the-dark Steven Harrington Earth Day print for half off the original price. You can’t go wrong for 20 bucks on this one.
Pablo Alfieri emailed this morning to let me know he has updated his portfolio with some new work. I really like what he is doing and he seems like a really great guy.
I am really digging on the line-art style illustrations of Tommy Penton today. Something kind of 60’s about them but still current and contemporary.
There is some really colorful digital illustration work in the updated portfolio of Archan Nair. Very sweet eye candy some of it to the point of saccharin but that doesn’t mean it isn’t every bit as sweet on the way down.
Who knew that by 1930 there was already 30 ways to die by electrocution (as illustrated in this Flickr set from a 1931 illustrated German book on electric safety)? There are some pretty strange ways to go in my opinion as well. I can’t figure out what the hell is going on in a few of them but I think I have come pretty close to going the same way as in the illustration above.
Illustrator Ryan Cox works in a very simplified and stylized style that is hard not to like. You want to hug some of his illustrations. He has updated with some massive images of new work.
Some nice new work up at the refreshed website for Marzena.
