Wow, ‘Please Say Something’ is unlike anything I have seen out there in a while. It has a style and narrative all it’s own. The story is loosely based around a troubled relationship between a cat and mouse in the distant future. The short film was the winner of the Golden Bear for best short film at the 2009 Berlinale. Please Say Something was written, directed & produced by David OReilly.
Wow, I am really digging this.

A really good friend of mine, Tyler Davis is currently seeking work in Los Angeles. We worked together at Mania TV several years back when he first came out of school and he has a huge appetite for creative and has a real passion for what he does. His best days are ahead of him, so if you are looking for a talented motion designer and in my humble opinion one of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure to work with, look him up.
Good luck Tyler.
Jon Suanders updates his portfolio with a couple of new projects that are mind-bendingly beautiful. Really spectacular imagery sincerely, the kind of thing that makes you wonder how the the hell it was produced.
No real point other than pure experimentation going on here but I thought it was pretty damn cool.

I had the opportunity to watch Mekanism’s reel this afternoon and damn are they good. Funny as hell and even more talented. I seriously hope to work with them in the very near future.
Keeping in tandem with the seizure-inducing theme (alright now I am being sarcastic) here is another interesting video based around the concept of nuclear fusion in the micro-world from W+K Tokyo Lab creator, Genki Ito.
“A strange man builds a world using holographic tools for the woman he loves.
This award winning short was created by filmmaker Bruce Branit, widely known as the co-creator of ‘405’. World Builder was shot in a single day followed by about 2 years of post production. Branit is the owner of Branit VFX based in Kansas City.”
There is some great motion work in the portfolio of Santa Motion. I have no idea how I missed these guys or why I haven’t heard of them but if you haven’t either, they are worth looking up.
Tesia Alexandra has assembled a huge portfolio of motion boards, all of which are expertly executed. That isn’t all that is in her portfolio though as she has worked in multiple mediums.
Really beautiful work across the board for motion from Theo Daley. Spectacular and beautiful imagery fill his portfolio with attention paid to the tiniest of details.
Rafael Macho is an enthusiastic Designer who believes that good communication and great design can help companies do better business.
I guess we have that in common.
