‘A Little Triangle‘ is the work of Córdoba, Argentina-based photographer. I got a tip from an email about her work but can’t tell you much about her, or even her name for that matter since it appears nowhere on her Flickr page. Her name may be Illuvia (which is a beautiful name) and one thing I can tell you for sure is that she has a penchant for capturing some amazing photographs. The one above is now my desktop.

The soft washed-out colors in the photographs of Anna Verlet almost move you toward feeling the environments captured in her images more than seeing them. She currently hails from Portland, Oregon and her exhibit “I Hear A New World” is currently on display at Stumptown Coffee (128 SW Third Ave) through March 30th. The show also features photographs by Anna Shelton & Daren Wilson.

My guess is that you will be seeing these clever book sculptures from Paul Octavious all over the creative blogosphere as they are precisely the kind of sculptural typographic works that seem to be resonating with the online creative community. After seeing them though, be sure to dive into his portfolio where you will also find some exceptional photographic art.

Fashion photographer Luis Sanchis is a real artist with the camera. His ability to compose form, color, subject and lighting is striking. He possesses one of those rare portfolios that once you begin browsing you feel compelled to click on almost every single thumbnail to see each image up close. His work is truly beautiful.

Surreal imagery fills the Flickr-folio of photographer Fenk. The images of what appear to be people who’s heads are exploding into light or glitter are my personal favorites.

Baltimore native and current resident Eric Paltell has some fun, lyrical and surreal photographs in his Flickr-folio. I absolutely love the series of what appears to be nighttime snow photos on the first page of his portfolio. The resulting compositions and the light reflection on the snow flakes are just amazing.

Photographer Tania Quintanilla is all about glamor. There are some fine sparkling, colorful and artfully composed examples in her portfolio. She also lists her reasons for living (in no particular order) which include things like Super Mario Brothers, loud thunderstorms, art, cafe lattes, Toblerone, acoustic guitars, sexy fashion magazines, doggy nipples, bosa nova, Cheetos, mojitos and movies about Paris.

London-based photographer Owen Silverwood doesn’t really have much of anything to say about himself at his website. He chooses to let his work do the talking and the work consists of some very unusual still life photography encompassing an even more unusual range of subject matter.
