Sixpack France was kind enough to ship me a copy of a 64 page zine featuring the work of Australian Graphic Designer and Illustrator Jonathan Zawada. The copy is sitting on my desk now as a source of inspiration. The zine is titled “Can The Drummer Give Some More” and is printed on an oversized format of 24x32cm.

I am a big fan of Zawada’s work and there are some silky smooth drawings in the zine that I really appreciated. It’s an attractive piece of work and very high quality for a zine. I highly recommend checking it out if you are at all interested in Zawada’s work. It was a nice way to get my hands on something tangible that had multiple examples of his unique artwork in a large format on heavy paper.

You can purchase the zine here for 25 Euro and check out more of Zawada’s work at his personal website.

It Was On Earth That I Knew Joy

‘It Was On Earth That I Knew Joy’ is the recent art film directed by Jean-Baptiste de Laubier and presented by the ever-inpiring Sixpack France. The film premiered on February 20th at the SCION Gallery in Los Angeles in an exhibition curated by Sixpack France. The trailer alone is a thought provoking bit of short film.

If you haven’t visited Sixpack France lately, now is a good time to do so. They have recently relaunched and stocked up with a really amazing new collection of apparel. I was and always have been a big fan of their t-shirts, especially considering the caliber of artists, designers and illustrators they work with but they are growing into an inspiring brand. I try to steer from being a free PR engine here but my admiration for what they do is sincere. They seem to have genuinely rooted their company in a passion for the arts and that’s an inspiring model for all of us in this business.

Sixpack France

Sixpack France recently released some new shirts. They have had an ongoing series of premium artist designed shirts for a while now similar to 2k. There are some really fantastic shirts in their collection now from the likes of Cody Hudson, Parra, Steven Harrington and Grotesk. The only major setback is that the shirts will cost your 37 Euros and that is a little rich for a working-class american’s blood these days, if you were to ask my opinion. Sorry Cody Hudson, I love you but I most likely won’t be rocking your steez this summer.
