Whoah, Gluko and Lennon might bring on an acid flashback for the delicate-minded but it is beautifully animated and just kind of super strange awesome. I’d imagine the kids would love it.

“35mm« is a shortfilm about cinema itself. We picked 35 of our favorite movies and tried to simplifly them as far as possible. The outcome is a 2 minute journey through the history of film.”
This is way awesome for a little fun group project. Art for art’s sake is where it’s at.

This animated short is Stephen Ong’s insight into the human machine and it’s consumption addiction. A quote from Frank Lloyd Wright is offered as further explanation, “If it keeps up, man will atrophy all his limbs but the push-button finger”.’
Cours Toujours is a short film made just for fun by Elise Garcette and Olivier Barré, with music by Pilöt. The short was produced by La Station Animation. Pretty cool project to file under ‘just for fun’.
Benjamin Ducroz used a 3D program, paper, a laser printer, plywood, thread and nails to deliver this amazing little bit of animation. Pretty darn awesome.
Fluffy McCloud is a short film about man’s misunderstanding and mixed relationship with mother nature. It was created by Conor Finnegan for his graduate film at IADT National Film School. It was created by mixing stop-motion, live action and hand drawn animation. Conor is currently living and looking for work in NYC.
Christopher Guinness created this little animated 3D commercial to get people psyched about the World Cup. It was a shame to see the U.S. go home today after such a tough game with Ghana but I hope Americans stay interested in the sport. Being married to a Brazilian, I have no choice but to watch World Cup but over the last 10 years I have become quite a fan and really look forward to when the time comes around every 4 years.
Next go round I am planning on making my way to Brazil to see the game with my family in tow. Hopefully I will see some Americans there supporting the world’s game or ‘proper football’ as the English sometimes put it.
Brazilian motion studio Animatorio have a bright, fun, dramatic and sometimes comedic body of work that is bursting with personality.
Li Dongzhen created this brilliant little piece of animation as a part of a student project for the Beijing Film Academy. Something tells me Dongzhen is going to find a job out of school.
This deliriously strange little number for the Los Massieras single ‘Boogity Boogity Boogity’ was directed by Gerson Aguerri and animated soley in After Effects by Gloria Gil.

Danish motion graphics agency Magnet Visuals has recently updated with some new work. They have some slick examples of motion, 3D and animation under their belt and I can only imagine their work getting stronger in the future.
“An animated mind melt into a post human New York where TV and animals rule. All cast to the sincerely melodic soul of Blockhead’s ‘The Music Scene.'”
Uh wow. This is trippy and totally awesome. That’s really all there is to say about it I guess. Apparently this was entirely created by A.F.Schepperd who both animated and directed the video. It’s quite a feat and I would imagine he will be sought after for a while by some new clients.

Music by Blockhead
Ed Banger Records just released this video for Breakbot featuring Irfane for the single ‘Baby I’m Yours’. It was composed of 2000 watercolor paintings combined to create the final animation. Impressive. And a catchy toon to boot.

There is some nice old-school Homestar Runner-style animation in this little animated vid by Joe Bichard and Jack Cunningham.
Chad Manzo is based on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. His animation/Ren and Stimpy-inspired illustrations are energetic and vectorlicious. His work is aptly suited for retail merchandise and there is no doubting his drawing skills.
Raccoonnook has nothing to say for himself but rather prefers to let his work do the talking. His work mixes pop culture with a healthy dose of inspiration garnered from animation and comics. The old versus new tension happening through simple line art clashing with colors that only could be achieved digitally make for engaging imagery.
This hand-drawn animated music video was created by Raymond Prado for Singer-Songwriter Matthew Bryan’s song ‘Wasted’. Over 6,000 frames were drawn by Prado to create the video. Wow.
