No real point other than pure experimentation going on here but I thought it was pretty damn cool.

There is some great motion work in the portfolio of Santa Motion. I have no idea how I missed these guys or why I haven’t heard of them but if you haven’t either, they are worth looking up.
My friends at Lifelongfriendshipsociety have relaunched with some exceptional motion work.
Props guys and great song selection on the new reel.
3d artist, John Cherniack has updated his reel with some awe-inspiring new work. He has worked for some of the biggest names in the business and its easy to see why when you take a look at his work.
A nice little animated video here from director Ritxi Ostáriz (iikki.com) for the Norwegian band Dead Hoodlum.
Remember Gmunk from way back in the day? If you have been a design junky as long as I have, I am betting you do. I have wondered for a while where he has been and what he has been up to and he has just posted a new reel with a new site to follow soon. His work is better than ever and it looks like he has been incredibly busy.
Not entirely sure how the work of Blur slipped my attention. Amazing work for a very impressive roster of clients. I know I have seen their work before but I just never put two and two together. Needless to say, it was a nice little discovery today.
Over 6000 paintings were produced over the course of two long years to create this 5 minute film. That means every time you click the pause button you are facing an individual work of art. This is even more extraordinary when you consider that all of this was done for a student project. Its a pretty amazing effort and it shows by the long lost of awards the project has already received. Be sure to visit the individual Vimeo page to read more about the film and its director Reza Dolatabadi and animator Adam Thomson.
Yankee Gal is a short film directed by Celine DESRUMAUX, gary LEVESQUE, Antoine PEREZ & Francois PONS. It was made in Supinfocom during 2008. Visit the official website here: yankeegal.com
Wow is all I have to say about this. You can read more about the project including interviews with the makers at Motionographer.

“Directors cut of music video I (Lorcan Finnegan) made for a band called Orba Squara. The video was all one steadicam shot with animated/illustrated elements added in using 3D tracking software.
You can see a higher res version is here: Lovely Productions
Thanks again for the links Lorcan. Amazing work.
This really cool video was created utilizing photocopies for the band Sickboy’s single ‘Silence in Conversation’. Director Lorca Finnegan got the idea through the concept of the identical twins who make up the band being ‘carbon copies’ of one another. Hundreds or photocopies were made to create the lip-sync effect. The idea was also influenced through the black and white photocopied flyers that unsigned bands often use to promote themselves and their venues.
It all makes for a great video.
I don’t really even know what to say about this. Wow. Wtf?
Some nice motion work from Man Vs Machine. Kick ass name too. Wish I would have thought of that. Simple, ironic and unforgettable.
Impressive reel from Stanley NG. Wish I could tell you a little more about him but I can’t seem to get his site to work. Keep an eye out for him.
Some slick work for motion, broadcast and print in the portfolio of Toronto-based Dan Filip Radu.
