There have been some small updates recently at This Studio including this beautiful A1 promotional poster that should be available soon. This’s work has been splashed across the pages of the creative blogosphere for the last several days and for good reason, every bit of work is highly considered and the use of typography is stunningly gorgeous.
Swiss graphic designer Marc Bally has stripped his print layouts down to their most basic elements utilizing solid colors, photographs and typography in their purest forms. The end result is no frills graphic design.
Rétrofuturs (Hulk4598) is the work of graphic designer and illustrator Stéphane Massa-Bidal. She recently completed a Penguin-book-cover-inspired series of posters centered around the theme of web services. They are available to purchase and are seriously worth checking out. They made my ‘design’ day. Sorry that sounds so nerdy but it’s true. The subhead inside joke on the FFFFound cover with the word ‘register’ crossed out is pretty hilarious.

It’s a lucky thing they decided to solidify that friendship into a design firm as well because they have some absolutely beautiful work in their collective portfolio.
It’s been a very very long time since I have dropped in on the portfolio of Barcelonian graphic designer and typographer Angel Sanz Correa and I was pleased to find some new and inspirational work.
I received this note in my email today:
“GrandArmy is now part of a new group that we call Attack. We teamed up with Wieden+Kennedy New York to form the new agency within the agency, and our debut project is a result of a collaboration with Shinichi Maruyama and MNDR. Editing by Jamie Carreiro.”
The video that begins playing onload at the Attack website is a beautiful work and the selected song really carries the video. Beautiful work.
Swedish graphic designer Daneil Carlsten recently left his job after 5 years at the creative collective Acne to venture out on his own. It looks as though he will do well by the measure of the wonderful work in his portfolio.
PMKFA has updated with a new website and new work including some exceptional work created for Sixpack France and DC Shoes.
Seattle-based design powerhouse Invisible Creature has relaunched and updated with more and more and more spectacular work that is genuinely inspirational. They really know what they are doing and are at the top of their game. It’s rare that art and design meld so perfectly that you have a hard time distinguishing where one ends and the other begins.
This is Tomorrow is the work of designer Martin Plonka. Martin has a BA Hons in graphic design from the academy of fine arts and design in Wroclaw, Poland. He currently resides in London and isn’t afraid to experiment with type and layout.
London-based graphic designer/art director Ramon Marin has some clean and cracking work in his portfolio. Really attractive work.
Swiss designer Demian Conrad just emailed about a recent project for an antique markets called Brocante. He created promotional imagery for the market by arranging unusual compositions with vintage objects.
Leeds-based art house Kraffhics has been busy since I last dropped in. As far as I can tell, they updated some time ago with a new website and have a few new projects up. It looks as though they have been collaborating a lot with other creatives and agencies as well.
Pete Rossi has long sideways scroll of clean and beautiful graphic design. There is some stunning use of color and clean typography in his apt portfolio.
Bold, colorful, crisp and aggressive illustration and design work are brimming over the portfolio of Brazilian design firm Firmorama. Even their name insinuates that you are in for a celebration, and you most certainly are.
Swiss experimental design/illustration lab Happypets has been busy updating with all kinds of interesting creations, from tees, to posters, to tats.
Portuguese (sorry I thought he was Brazilian but João corrected me) graphic designer João Oliveira sent an email today letting us know he has updated his portfolio with some new work. Some people don’t dig the more densely layered and colorful digital work, but I think he is one of the best at what he does and I have always been a big fan of his work.
