The Bases Loaded Series is a set of hand-generated banners that explore the relationship between type and image. The designes themselves narrate milestones and key figures in America’s favorite Pastime, Baseball. All banners measure 26″x40″ and are screen printed onto wool felt with a 1″ felt border.

Were I to ever live in Spain, specifically the magnificent city of Barcelona I think Vasava would be one hell of a place to work. They are still cranking and there is yet more inspirational work recently posted to their ever stalwart portfolio.

Killian Eng updates yet again with another delirious scroll down the rabbit hole of absolute psychedelic imagination. Wow is really the only word to apply if you are a fan of this kind of imagery and Eng just keeps churning this out like it’s easy. Amazing.

McBess has updated with some new work to his fantastic portfolio and added a little tweak to his wholly unique and totally recognizable style. That tweak arrives in the form of color and it’s something he swears he hates and will never do again but I kinda like it.

Illustrator Randy Ortiz is packing a lot of detail into his work. He still has a relatively small body of work but it promises an over pour of talent for those who are willing to stay tuned for more.

Nate Utesch has a loose throwback style that uses broad strokes of ink. It’s a very editorial look that references old school comics and it’s a refreshingly ‘non-digital’ affair.

“I’m a Youngstown, Ohio born – Brooklyn, New York based artist and designer.
My work explores the idea of networks and systems through the synthesis of fundamental design elements, geometry and abstraction. I’m obsessed with technology, maps, data visualizations, information graphics, technical diagrams, infrastructure, architecture and complexity – all of which informs my work.”
It’s always interesting to see a designer who sticks to a point of view and
Eric Frommelt definitely does. It’s like looking at imaginary data visualization posing as digitally produced abstract expressionism. Hmm…to file under ‘art’ or ‘graphic design’?

“George Dawe was an English portrait artist who painted 329 portraits of Russian generals active during Napoleon’s invasion of Russia for the Military Gallery of the Winter Palace, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
I’m using digital copies of these paintings as a basis for my own work which involves incorporating my friends, family and even some celebrities into the paintings using photoshop.”

Artist and illustrator Drew Millward has updated with several new works, many of which serve as a refreshing extension of his style. He’s experimenting more with color also which also serves as a nice break. In short, I’m digging it big time.

Not only is Nacho Rojo quite possibly the coolest name you have heard in a long time that doesn’t belong to a Mexican Wrestler, it also represents the work of a pretty kick ass photographer and I am particularly loving this set of images from his Behance-Folio.

Stevie Gee is an illustrator who makes himself readily available for illustration (obviously), art direction, design and love making. I am sure you could probably go à la carte on that menu if you wanted and maybe mix and match a skill or two.

“Fear.Less is a collaborative project between Daniel Ting Chong & Jordan Metcalf. The objects are all representative of weapons/items used in acts of crime in South Africa, both by criminal and the law.
The objects seek to playfully examine the place of fear and crime in South Africa context, framing our obsession with violence and the casual paranoia we all seem to suffer from. By scaling the objects and turning them into artworks, the artists aim to re-contextualise the place these items hold in our everyday lives.
Several different production methods were used to create the final wooden objects.”

Jeremy Pruitt is a Denver based artist, designer, sculptor, poster designer, illustrator, blogger and just all around bag o’ art fantasticness. He’s also a very humble, low-key and kind person who does what he does out of pure passion and love of the arts. He’s a really valuable addition to the local scene here in Denver and he’s made waves lately both nationally and internationally. You can follow his amazing blog The Lumper to see what inspires him and he recently updated his Flickr-folio with some excellent new work.

James Murphy throws a little sex, cartoons, satanism and a dash of colorful pop into his cauldron and churns out some fun imagery that would make for a nice screen print or two.

The ‘paintings’ or rather sculptural paintings of Linda Besemer mind bend your mind a little in the way that they merge dimensionality, form and color all seamlessly into one piece that when viewed from multiple angles has an even more psychedelic effect on the viewer. Her work is currently on display at Galerie Richard in Paris.
