I am really into the dead rockstar series created by Scottish Illustrator and Artist Hetch 666. They were commissioned by Dead Famous Clothing (who would have guessed?). They’d make a pretty sweet set of art prints too. Might I suggest letterpress?

“After working as a digital creative for commercial companies, Sit decided to stop this madness in 2008 and went back to head and handcraft to slice away the fat.”
Funny. I’ve been thinking the same thing lately. There is some nice hand done and possibly digitally finished work in Sit’s portfolio. I am not entirely sure of his technique but there is some amazing talent happening that is generating some darkly beautiful imagery.

César Moreno is one of my favorite people to have recently stumbled upon. I’ve been jumping hard and fast into illustrating and generating imagery inspired by pop and movies and César’s work in that arena stands out. He’s got some downright fantastic work in his portfolio and is holding it down in Mexico. Release some prints my friend. The people will buy.

Okay this is always the kind of thing as a designer/illustrator in my 30s that kind of freaks me out a little bit but Andaur Studios is the work of a 17 year old self-taught, multidisciplinary freelance Art Director, Digital Artist and Graphic Designer located in Santiago. Yes I said 17.

It hasn’t been long since I last posted the work of UK illustrator Adrian Johnson but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth noting some of his newest work which very recently popped up on his site and it’s for one of my favorite clothing brands no less.

Yury Ustinau has again updated with more of the same strange black on black character illustrations that are both disturbing and amusing. I am definitely a fan at this point.

“Tang Yau Hoong is an artist, illustrator, graphic designer living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He creates art that is conceptual, surreal and fun in a simpistic and unique way.”
I’ve posted Hoong’s work before but he has recently updated with some very clever new reasonably priced prints. I’d think the one above would be a must have for any would-be creative copywriter.

I know I know, I just wrote about illustrator Grant Coghill not long ago but they guy is keeping himself busy and I am really catching onto what he is laying down. He recently updated yet again with some more striking new imagery that is worth checking out.

Ms. Maras Malley has updated with some quite frankly stunning new visuals for some of the biggest clients in entertainment. We are continually taken aback by her inspirational talent. We are all huge fans of her work at our studio. She takes her projects to the next level consistently and raises the bar all the way up to ‘art’. Not an easy thing to do.

Canadian pop illustration and Photoshop wunderkind Rik Oostenbroek has updated with a flurry of neon-colored coolness. His ‘next level’ series pays an homage to the glory days of video gaming and has been rippling through the blog stream for good reason. It looks amazing.

There is some fun illustration work in the Behance portfolio of Italian illustrator and designer Rubens Cantuni and from what I have been hearing lately our friends in the creative industry residing in Italy need as much attention and as many projects as they can get. Hope this post helps.

Every once in a while after running a blog like this for several years you get an email in your inbox from someone you have an insane amount of respect for, of course that’s not to say that you also constantly discover people you have an insane amount of respect for but anyway…this week I got an email from one of my all time favorite design and illustration studios La Boca. They have updated their already amazing portfolio with yet more amazing things and it’s a genuinely inspirational browse through their portfolio. So enjoy compliments of La Boca.

I love the pop-horror-infused, fun and tongue in cheek work of illustrator Ray Frenden and he recently updated (or at least since I last dropped in) with more colorful, zobified and horrorific imagery that is crazy fun to sift through.

Right off just from the completely different look of their website you know you can expect some seriously tight design from Komboh. A recent drop in on their portfolio revealed exactly that as well as some notable updates. Excellent work all around.
