Oh snap, just when you thought Triangle’s were gone, Onur Senturk brings them back in this short film called ‘TRI▲NGLE’ for the book ‘Black Material’ which showcases Robert Knoke’s artwork. Curator Jens Karlson asked Senturk to create a short animation using Robert Knoke’s black and white artwork as the base for animation. Whether you like the recent influence of simple geometry on design, this video is pretty slick.
Ori Toor created this video as his final project for his study in illustration at the Shenkar School of Engineering and Design. It is a ‘stream of consciousness animation’ for the song ‘Lion in a Coma’ by Animal collective and was created as a frame by frame animation in Flash.
Konx-om-Pax gets totally trippy with this installation for an Optimo curated event at the Tramway with Nurse with Wound. Konx-om-Pax also created the sound as well as the video. Beautifully strange.
This is Tom Bunker’s graduation film for his studies at Kingston University.
Here is the artist’s description of the project:
“A man finds a Rubiks Cube in a bush and has to battle a giant head and faces a number of tasks to try and win possession of the cube!”
The Mill produced the titles this year for the OFFF Festival in Paris. Gorgeous work and I would give my right art to attend one of the shows in the future. I am hoping to soon.

Nir Ben Jacob created this amazing video for the Great Lake Swimmers single River’s Edge. Anyone still old enough to remember when you could watch all of the good music videos on MTV? Those days are long long gone. The internet is where it’s at for music videos and damn do they look good on Vimeo.
This deliriously strange little number for the Los Massieras single ‘Boogity Boogity Boogity’ was directed by Gerson Aguerri and animated soley in After Effects by Gloria Gil.

Danish motion graphics agency Magnet Visuals has recently updated with some new work. They have some slick examples of motion, 3D and animation under their belt and I can only imagine their work getting stronger in the future.
Comments Off on Blockhead – The Music SceneAnimation
“An animated mind melt into a post human New York where TV and animals rule. All cast to the sincerely melodic soul of Blockhead’s ‘The Music Scene.'”
Uh wow. This is trippy and totally awesome. That’s really all there is to say about it I guess. Apparently this was entirely created by A.F.Schepperd who both animated and directed the video. It’s quite a feat and I would imagine he will be sought after for a while by some new clients.

Greg Tsadilas’s VFX reel was uploaded 4 months ago but already contains samples of work he completed for Tron Legacy. His effects work is seriously mind-blowing and his reel will knock you clean off of your seat so brace yourself. He is remarkable.
Hollywood based motion graphics studio Laundry has kept busy and continues to updated their site with new projects as well as new project proposals. I hired Laundry for my very first Colorado Lottery TV spot a long time back while I was still at Cactus and kept an eye on their progress ever since.

Everson Nazari AKA Indio San is a Brazilian illustrator who has worked extensively in motion with a wild and imaginative portfolio of work. I really liked the definition of illustration written in his biographical section: “Illustration is a clearly defined act of making art, the goal of wich is to illuminate a piece, a visual representation that is used to make some subject more pleasing or easier to understand.”
Freelance Brazilian motion designer Gabriel Rocha has worked for clients and agencies across the globe. He recently relaunched his website featuring some bold and colorful new work.
