Ventilate (one of the best motion graphics/design-related blogs out there) has pooled together a talented roster of designers to produce a series of free posters that you can download via YouSendIt in high-resolution. They are really large too and might make a nice addition to your wall at home. You can’t go wrong with free and well-designed art.

Justin Renteria is a local Denver illustrator with some really great work in his book. His website displays his work a little too small but you can visit his blog to see larger images. The above piece actually arrived in my mail as a self-promotional work and I was really impressed by the guts displayed in the subject matter. It’s a bold thing to mass mail and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Chinese calligraphy meets Jackson Pollock in the sumi ink sky paintings captured in photographs for artist Shinichi Maruyama. The end result of which is gorgeous artwork and imagery.

Tattoo artist, Scott Campbell, recently exhibited at the O.H.W.O.W. gallery in Miami, Florida. Part of the exhibition consisted of a series of laser-cut etchings on stacks of 1 dollar bills. The collection is entitled “Make It Rain” (which undercuts with razor-sharp irony).
More at Divine Caroline.

Tyson Skross sent in his work today and I really liked his paintings. He refers to the spaces in his paintings as ‘construct’ formed out of leftover memories from the spaces in between life experiences.

David Spriggs’s artwork is just flat out amazing. It’s beautifully complex yet stunning in simplicity without ignoring concept. The end result is what I am sure must be an experience to behold in person. The above piece was made using sprayed acrylic paint on multiple sheets of transparent film inside a display case.

Alex McLeod is responsible for some highly unusual art installations*.
*Correction: I received a little comment from Alex stating that these are in fact CGI prints, not actual photos of installations. Still interesting and exceptional work nonetheless.

There is all manner of interesting things happening in the Flickr-folio of Estonian artist/photographer Sandra-Mandra. I wish I could tell you more but all I can go by is what I see and I like what I see.

Yuta Onoda is yet another illustrator mixing traditional painting and drawing methods with digital touches. His work is simply gorgeous and feels as thought it were lifted directly from a dream.
