I am a little surprised I haven’t heard of Australian photographer Tim Richardson yet. He is currently based in New York and has worked for some huge clients. He has also recently published two books and his most recent film installation for the Sydney Dance Company is part of the Venice Dance Biennale in 2010. He is remarkably talented and his talent extends far beyond the medium of photography.

There are some rock solid t-shirts up for sale (and at reasonable prices) from Single Second. I am curious how they manage avoiding any copyright issues but they are kick ass t-shirts regardless and probably worth grabbing up while they still last.

Photographer Chadwick Tyler became known to the art world for his seminal gallery show Tiberius, which depicted 55 portraits of young women as ‘wistful’ creatures. He has recently shot for Levi’s and been featured in Dazed and Confused, The Last Magazine, French, V and Grey.

I wrote about the work of photographer Noah Kalina a few months ago. Since then he has updated his Flickr-folio (just last week actually) with some new imagery. Kalina is a rare talent who feels equally at home with a camera positioned in front of both a fashion model or a contemplative landscape. He manages to tell a story or suggest one with every image engaging the viewer at every turn. He’s also not afraid to post his imagery in large formats where you can not only appreciate it at scale but possibly even print one out for yourself to hang on a wall in your studio.

55DSL is currently hosting a worldwide foosball tournament offering the overall winner a trip to South Africa. To help celebrate global football fever, an exclusive pack of tee shirts has been created in collaboration with 55DSL and PANINI featuring a roster of artists and designers including Kakofonia, Super Expresso, Niark 1 and Théo Gennitsakis to name a few. It looks like a really fun project and it appears that the creative brief was pretty wide open for the design of the tee shirts which feature some interesting artistic approaches to each country’s unique brand of football fanaticism.

I have taken a much more profound interest in interior spaces and how people, especially creative people choose to express themselves within their living and work spaces. So I was pretty excited to stumble upon The Selby where you can take a peek at the work and living spaces of people like Philippe Starck (whom I love), Karl Lagerfeld and Stephen Powers aka ESPO (whom you can see in the image above).

I do a lot of design and illustration work for clothing and tee shirts. I am always pushing my clients to be more aggressive and have fun with what they print. I think the tee shirt is kind of a special canvas with a rather unlimited amount of possibilities and it’s rarely used as expressively as it can be. So I have a special place in my heart for clothing companies that just flat out go for it when it comes to their tee shirt designs and Drop Dead Clothing is pretty fearless. Their is no denying that anything in their collection wouldn’t make an immediate impression on any one within eye shot. I’d imagine wearing one would elicit the question ‘where’d you get that?’

Teenagers In Love is a clothing label founded in San Francisco committed to fun and fashion drawing aesthetic inspiration from vintage surf, skate, & bmx culture as well as vintage motorcycles and graphic design. Amen, and I’ll rock one of those bad boy crews any day of the week. ‘Radical’ is the word I believe.

Photographer Jens Ingvarsson’s images have been popping up all over the creative blogosphere in the last few days/weeks. He keeps a blog where you can check out his most current exploits but he is also represented by Exodus Media Productions where you can check out more of his work. He is a talented image maker and at first it is impossible not to pull the Terry Richardson comparison card but Ingvarsson has several tricks up his sleeve and that is only one of them.
