The Silent Giants were nice enough to get in touch and let me know that they have put some new posters in their online storefront. There work is fantastic. Wow, I am continually amazed by what they are producing. Just beautiful work.

There is some nice stuff in the portfolio of Luciano Marx.
There are some nice updates in the motion design portfolio of Tala Design.
The very talented Mario Hugo has updated his site with some new work. I am really a huge fan of his work. All of it is just beautiful, and every time I visit his website I kick myself in the ass to get up and create something. I just can’t say enough good things about what he produces. It is a true meld of design and art. Out of the 2,670 posts I have done, including this one, his work still stands out as one of my absolute favorites. His work literally inspired me to push away from the computer again, finally, and pick up the pencil to start drawing again.
A few small but, as always, mind-boggling updates from Justin Maller.
David Rager can be found living, working, designing and riding his bike in New York. Oh, and there is some really great stuff in his portfolio.
Updates in the portfolio of Willowni and wow do I dig the cover shown above for Page Magazine. My undergraduate program was heavily influenced by the Bauhaus and I still consider a big part of my education as founded in the philosophy of the Bauhaus.
Well, the new site for ‘This is Real Art‘ has been making the rounds today in the blogosphere, and for good reason because their work really is top notch.
There are some really cool prints up for sale at We Are Robots.
Asif Mian has some brilliant direction work up for inspirational viewing. It doesn’t stop there either. There is equal parts brilliance in the Art Direction and Design section of the site. Be sure to check out both. Real talent.
Nigel Evan Dennis is attempting reinventing himself in a more minimal fashion in his new site and portfolio. He previously worked under the name ‘Electric Heat’, but gone are the days of flashy Photoshop tricks in his new portfolio under his personal name.
Interesting idea. Curious what people will think about it. Nigel has always been very clever and self-aware as to what the trends in commercial design are. I do like some of his new work but also loved some of the complexity of his older work.
What do you all think?
Wow, I don’t know how I could have missed or have never heard of Josh Vanover (Spaceknuckle) before but his work in black and white is fantastic. I was immediately inspired by it to go out and create something.
That skateboard deck is haute.
Thank you so much for the link Alisha.
Kenjiro Harigai has an absolutely incredible body of work with contained within one of the smoother and more functional Flash websites I have seen in a while. Harigai founded the design team Adapter in 2003 where he worked on projects across virually every medium and platform. More recently, in 2007 he formed ANSWR, which was originally comprized of 5 creatives and has grown into a more multifaceted group of collaboraters again working across many mediums. This year he slowed the flow of Adater to focus on ANSWR and has kicked the work coming out of the group into high gear.
There is a new (maybe not super new because it has been a while since I popped in) issue of Newwork Magazine online for your viewing inspiration. I am increasingly impressed by the level of quality. There is always some fantastic stuff in there.
James Griffin is offering a free hi-res download of his font ‘Cloak’ at Font Lorry. It’s a pretty slick looking alphabet developed in 3D. I threw together the little layout above just to help you visualize it’s creative potential. Get down on it.
“Cloak was developed for a project that never came to fruition. At first it was only a few letter-forms. It lay dormant for a few months until James re-discovered it and decided to make it into an complete uppercase character set. Cloak is loosely based on the folds and forms of black material. It was produced using 3D rendering and photo-manipulation.”
There is some clean and rock solid design work in the portfolio of Ultra Studio.
Wow, there is some red hot type and illustration work in the Flickr-folio of Amoeba 84. Inspiring work for sure. I am loving it all.
The ‘Form Minus Function’ series in Paul Hollingworth’s Behance-folio is top shelf.
