AJ Dimarucot is the person responsible for the vivid graphics at Collision Theory and he was kind enough to inform me that he now has 2 t-shirts available out there both at Threadless and Rumplo.
Alejandro Chavetta spends his days art directing San Francisco Magazine and the hours after making his deadlines creating some really interesting collages. The results of which you can currently see in his Behance portfolio.
He also has a website currently under construction where you can see that he is an accomplished graphic designer, but the real artistic gems are in his Behance folio.

I am really loving what these guys are laying down. Good stuff.
There is a new Depthcore pack up for your viewing pleasure. This pack is based on the concept ‘Noir’ and all the imagery is in black and white. I am a huge fan of working only in black and white and there are some really attractive images in this particular pack. Enjoy.
A little about DIY straight from the horse’s mouth:
“DIY (do it yourself) is a graphic design studio founded in 2001 by Laurence Jaccottet, Philippe Cuendet and Ivan Liechti.
All three have a degree in “visual communication” from the ECAL (ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne) where they had the opportunity to participate at many workshops with renowned visiting professors like M/M, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Cornel Windlin, GTF, Scott Makela, James Goggin and many more.
One of the main objective for DIY is to create a multidisciplinary platform focused on graphic design. The ambition is to diversify the creativity, and to communicate through various media such as photography, music, styling, fashion, video, etc. Then, the agency is working for all kind of prestigious contractors in different fields such as edition, press, advertisement, multimedia, record industry and fashion.”
There is some nice work in the portfolio of recent graduate Trevor Gilley.
It has been a long long while since my last visit, and I might be wrong but it looks as though there have been a couple of small updates at Beauhouse. Regardless, it is worth a quick browse through their work for a little slice of inspiration.
Some nice work for both motion and print from Niels Fyrst.
I am particularly loving this music video for Bjørn Svin for the track Modular Noi.
Random Graphics is the work of Portugal-based Graphic Designer Jorge Amador.
“This is the portfolio website of Copenhagen based graphic designer and artist Søren Severin.
Here you can see a selection of my work and skills in graphic design and related disciplines. Currently, I am mainly working in various forms of print and identity design, but I am always aspiring to work within a wide range of different media. Besides working freelance, I am a full time student at Danmarks Designskole (DKDS) where I am currently finishing my fifth year of studies.
The portfolio contains both commissioned and personal work, as well as selected school projects. The website will be updated regularly.”
“AREA 17 is an interactive agency located in New York City and Paris, France. We create user-centered websites, software applications and visual identity systems. AREA 17 also refers to the optical cortex of your brain where visual data is received, patterns are recognized and images are formulated. This is not a coincidence.
AREA 17 was founded in March 2003. We are independently owned and creatively motivated. We are Andrew Ackermann, Arnaud Mercier, Audrey Templier, Claire Deribreux, David Guez, David Lamothe, Debbie Tomlinson, Dominique Deriaz, Elise Agostini, George Eid, Jordan Khammar, Kemp Attwood, Kristen Nosek, Luis Lavena, Martin Rettenbacher and Mubashar Iqbal.”
Be sure to click the ‘explorations’ or ‘more research’ buttons when you see them because they have a treasure trove of work buried within some of their projects that expose their process.

Really attractive, clean, simple and beautiful work from Neil Tinson Studio.
Young Gun 6 award winner Keetra Dean Dixon has some really nice work on display and I especially love her type experimentation and use of color. Great work all around.
Frank Chimero in his work and well, on himself:
“I’m inspired by the mid-century aesthetic, and in my work I try to recapture the sense of optimism, playfulness and heart that I see in things from that period. If the world needs anything right now, it’s a good dose of optimism and a big spoonful of “don’t take yourself so damn seriously.””
Amen to that Frank.
I have to admit, Siggeir M. Hafstensson’s halftone works on canvas are hands down some of the best works of design melded with art that I have found in quite some time. There are so many of them and every single one stands on it’s own as a unique work of contemporary art and design. They are just brilliant and it was impossible to choose just one to represent such an enormous and fantastic body of work. I love this kind of stuff and it was sheer pleasure looking through it.
I guess what I am trying to say, in so many words, is that I liked his work.
