Jiro Bevis is an illustrator who knows who he is and how to work comfortably within an accessible signature style that is a twinge 7os psychedelic retro and a load of fun brimming over with distinct personality.

Shohei might not be the best at English but it really makes no difference because the downright fantastic black and white illustrations speak louder and clearer than any language could ever communicate.
Bandito Design Co posted a few new retro-inspired posters in his Flickr-folio that make great use of color. There is a series of postcards to that are also very very nice. I’m not sure if prints will be available for purchase but I could see some folks being interested if they were.
Halfanese has a shiny glitzy portfolio and is an expert at illustrating hip and sexy girls with haute tatts and sick scraper bikes. Need I say more or do you just wanna go ahead and check it out now? Well o.k. then.
It’s always worth popping in on Desktopography from time-to-time for inspiration’s sake and there have been some nice new additions lately. There are some new images up since I last dropped in and I was happy to load up on some new options for the ole desktop. Aside from being a cool place to grab some images to decorate your machine, it’s also a nice outlet for designers and illustrators to experiment with new techniques in Photoshop and create some imagery they might not otherwise have a reason to.
Although I think we posted within another post earlier this week that Spanish design studio Serial Cut has updated, it’s worth nothing in it’s own post as there are some excellent new 3D illustrations on display at the Serial Cut website. They have gone full throttle down the 3D illustration path and have continued to produce some striking imagery.
Downright bizarre but very well rendered character 3D concept art is spilling from the mind and hand of Calum 5. It’s a strange little jaunt through his portfolio that will fill your head with some memorable images.
Trendy digitally collaged and composited eye candy can be found in the portfolio of Russian designer/illustrator Sergey Vlasov and I do like me a little of that sort of thing from time to time especially when done right.
Illustrator Yury Ustsinau has updated with a new vectorliscious set of dark yet somehow bubbly, dimensional and animated characters that are extremely fun to look at. Yury currently resides in Frankfurt, Germany where he works as a commercial freelance illustrator and designer.
British vector illustrator and graphic designer Olly Moss reimagined the original Star Wars trilogy posters for Mondo. Take it from a Star Wars generation super fan (I’m buying Star Wars stuff for my little boys room) these posters are super awesome. They go on sale tomorrow at a random time and are most likely available in limited quantities. Get that checkbook out and stand by.
Ruben Ireland mixes some digital with traditional methods to produce his imagery and the results yielded make for some delectable eye candy. He’s not afraid to experiment and mix it up either which could make for some more interesting work in the future.
Adam Fantome draws things and makes those things into fancy prints. He has just updated with a new print of Lady Gaga and one of his last few prints has already sold out.
Poster designer and illustrator Tyler Stout has still been cranking out the goods lately. I would kill for a copy of his ‘The Thing’ poster. I recently saw a copy of it hanging in the bedroom of Robin Williams character in ‘World’s Greatest Dad’. His recent poster for the Black Keys looks pretty sweet and will no doubt sell out like the rest.
I gotta say that the more Lain Macarthur produces, the more I love his work. It just keeps getting better and better. He’s still very young too which points toward a long and productive career as an illustrator. His recent series inspired by the movie Black Swan is very well rendered but maintains a grit that makes the imagery accessibly artistic. Good stuff.
German-Polish designer Sebastian Onufszak has updated with a new site and several new visceral, digital, slick, cool, glowing and kinetic collage illustrations.
Self-taught Russian designer/illustrator Fill Ryabchikov isn’t afraid to use the color pink liberally. His glowing, 80’s sci-pop imagery will have you tripping through a retro-futuristic flashback forward like walking on a dream.
There are lots of new sexy, strange and surreal illustrations in the portfolio of 3D illustrator and concept artist Pascal Blanché whose aptly calling his playground the ‘Derelict Planet’. We would happily take up residence there.
Linsey Levendall and Daniel Orme make up Bison, a creative studio based in Cape Town, SouthAfrica. They have been our radar for a while now but have kept updating their portfolio with new and truly beautiful projects that straddle the line between art and design.
