Fashion photographer Luis Sanchis is a real artist with the camera. His ability to compose form, color, subject and lighting is striking. He possesses one of those rare portfolios that once you begin browsing you feel compelled to click on almost every single thumbnail to see each image up close. His work is truly beautiful.

It’s pretty much impossible not to like and appreciate the amount of work that went into creating this little stop motion video. You might recognize the guys in the video from I Love Local Commercials. It gets a little self-promo heavy at the end but that’s part of the genius behind these two gents, they just know how to market themselves.

Photographer Tania Quintanilla is all about glamor. There are some fine sparkling, colorful and artfully composed examples in her portfolio. She also lists her reasons for living (in no particular order) which include things like Super Mario Brothers, loud thunderstorms, art, cafe lattes, Toblerone, acoustic guitars, sexy fashion magazines, doggy nipples, bosa nova, Cheetos, mojitos and movies about Paris.

It was only a couple of months ago that I mentioned illustrator Ricardo Fumanal but he has been busy since. His already smooth fashion-related/inspired drawing work continues to get even silkier (great adjective that’s so rarely called for). Fumanal was ‘born in Huesca in 1984 and moved to London after cultivating his youthful spirit in Barcelona and Madrid’. Damn that sounds cool doesn’t it? I was born in Nebraska and cultivated my spirit (whatever the hell that means) in Denver, Colorado. It just doesn’t have the same ring to it does it? I spent a week in Barcelona and a couple of days in London a few months ago, and all I can think about is going back (any projects in London/Barcelona anyone?). Fumanal’s coolness translates into his work as it is expertly executed and manifested with a sensitivity to craft that maintains a dash of fine art (all kidding aside).

Artist/illustrator Andre Azevedo sent a note that he has updated his website with a new layout and some hip fashion-inspired new work. There is a ton of new work actually and some of it is pretty fun to look at.

Photographer Julia Galdo seems to have a fun personality that shines through in the biographical section of her website. She was originally interested in marine biology but somehow found her way to photography. Thankfully so, as there are some beautifully composed fashion shots in her portfolio. She considers herself lucky but I think talent might be playing a small role.

There are some very artistic and good-looking t-shirts in the Das Monk online store. They run about twice as much in price ($59.95) as an already overpriced t-shirt, so that might deter you a little. But they are still pretty cool, and I couldn’t resist mentioning them for the potentially more fashion-conscious and still tee wearing readers.

Buenos Aires-based fashion photographer Basilio Silva is responsible for capturing some ultra-hip imagery. Information about him is hard to come by and seems to vary from blog to blog but maybe it doesn’t matter when his body of work speaks so clearly for itself.

It’s not all that often that I write about clothes, shoes or fashion that strikes my fancy. I am not paid to endorse anything on this site so when I do mention something in the fashion arena, it’s because it’s something that I would wear. The minimal scaled down to the essentials approach of sneaker-makers Cipher are really easy on the eyes. I would feel pretty damned cool sporting a pair. Love that velcro.
