Studio Newwork recently released a new calendar for 2011 where they composed dates as musical notes. The calendar is silk screened on large ( 26 ” x 40″) and thick weight stone henge paper rough-edged paper in an edition of 100.
I dropped in on the Artcrank poster show this weekend which is currently exhibiting at the Lisa Koslowski Gallery until next Saturday. There were some excellent posters in the show this year, and I purchased two from some local friends of mine. I purchased Ctt blogger and Legwork partner Aaron Ray’s poster as well as Anthony Cozzi’s. I was really blown away by Anthony’s poster. The screens were air tight and the use of color was used to great effect. If you have a chance this week and are here in Denver definitely stop by the gallery if you are looking to pick up some unique pieces of art.

Chicago gig poster makers Delicious Design League have updated with a new website and online store bursting with fantastic posters. Strangely the site still has no portfolio section completed but you can still see a lot of the work via the storefront.
Illustrator Santiago Uceda has some very nice hand drawn style screenprinted gig posters in his portfolio that you could be proud to hang on your wall.
Luke James is a freelance illustrator based in East London with some fun work in his portfolio and some nice screen prints in his shop.
Not sure how I missed this but You Work For Them is selling a really nice glow-in-the-dark Steven Harrington Earth Day print for half off the original price. You can’t go wrong for 20 bucks on this one.
Seth Adelsberger has some really nice work in his Flickr-folio. Some of his paintings are really exceptional and his 17 layer one of a kind screenprint is the bees knees (correction: Seth has informed me that the screenprint was done by a friend).
A really nice set of silk-screen prints from Richard Perez hit the internets today via Etsy. I really dig them and someone was nice enough to email me a link today to let me know of their release. They are reasonably priced and would look pretty good on a while behind a turntable if you know what I’m sayin’.

Steven Harrington has released an pretty amazing and large (18×24) screenprint titled Un Royaume that glows in the dark. It is a really nice print with an extra special bonus.

There is some really classic work in the portfolio of Jason Munn who calls himself The Small Stakes. Absolutely gorgeous work as a matter of fact. Great use of negative space and beautifully understated minimal typography. He seems to understand and capture the personality and essence of each band while maintaining his minimal style. Be sure to spend some time looking through his work, every click of the next button is worth the time.
