The almighty deacon of motion design and now live action, PSYOP have updated their site and reel with several new works and of course the imagery is sharp, amazing and beautiful as always. They continue to be a source of inspiration for fledgling shops like ours.
The brilliantly named Fablog is the work of French artist and illustrator Fabien Mense. It encompasses his excellent illustration and concept work for comics and clients and it’s brimming with inspiration for those looking to dabble in illustration (like myself).
Wonder Level is the work of Masato Nakada and he presents it in an interesting ‘here it all is’ kind of way. It’s a lot to take in and there is a wide breadth of influences happening but it’s an attractive body of work.

Vanilla BCN is back again with more kick ass typographical works for clients like Nike. We love their tee shirt work. It’s air tight.

Creative Spark put together a nice project for Halloween this year. They created posters for their favorite horror movies. You can view and buy them here. The best part about the entire project is that the proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Esnake is the work of Orlando Peña. He’s a young Mexican motion designer with a pretty hot reel of work under his belt which you can see above.
Velckro Artwork is the adopted name and represents the portfolio of a young designer/illustrator based in Madrid. He’s got some fun stuff in his book including a series of ‘summer’ illustrations that are excellent.
Over this weekend, the local police clashed with the protesters taking part in the Occupy Movement here in Denver. At least 20 were arrested in a stand off that erupted into a clash that made the headlines of national news this morning. A few protesters were injured by rubber bullets and pepper spray. The 99% movement has brought forth the constitutional right to peaceful assembly versus the operation and ownership of private or public property.
However you feel either way, I think these people have a right to protest peacefully and assemble on public space. We wanted to extend our support toward the movement. We ourselves have been laid off from downsizing employers and are home owners, parents and debt slaves like many of the rest of us have become in this country.
It is an interesting time here in the U.S. at the moment, and will no doubt be a time that our children will look back upon. We just hope that no one else is injured and the message the protesters are trying to communicate is received and in time genuine change will be initiated. It’s taken nearly 10 years of war, lies, bail-outs and deceit from both sides of the aisle here in America for citizens to finally take to the streets. It does not seem like this protest will be ending any time soon. We extend our support and wishes for a continued peaceful protest that helps bring about the kind of reform the 99% in this country deserves.

Jeremy Pruitt is a Denver based artist, designer, sculptor, poster designer, illustrator, blogger and just all around bag o’ art fantasticness. He’s also a very humble, low-key and kind person who does what he does out of pure passion and love of the arts. He’s a really valuable addition to the local scene here in Denver and he’s made waves lately both nationally and internationally. You can follow his amazing blog The Lumper to see what inspires him and he recently updated his Flickr-folio with some excellent new work.
This animated video that utilizes bright color and deceptively simple line work (which was no doubt complex to create) by Luke Gibbs is nothing short of awesome.
Pablo Alfieri has been on a roll now for a while. He’s recently updated his Behance-folio with several new works including new typographical work for Nike and several other projects. He’s also still successfully helping run one of the hottest new motion studios out there at Plenty.
Icelandic designer illustrator Siggi Odds has some colorful work in his portfolio that makes interesting use of the Makah tribal art style appropriated as a vector portrait style.
Self-taught designer and illustrator Jorge Amador has updated his website with some nice new branding, illustration and typographical work. It’s a solid showing of versatility especially considering the fact that he is self-taught.
Jens Blank makes great use of live action footage and 3D in this fun little experimental piece that quickly evolves from something very low-fi to a solid amount of production value.
