Michael C. Place at Build has an idea for a set of A6 postcards matching actual historical events, births, deaths, scientific breakthroughs with their proper Pantone color. There is more information about the subject on the reverse side of the card. He used Wikipedia as a reference. I say print those bad boys up.

French designer Jonathan Budenz has some wild and crazy work in his portfolio. I can’t profess to liking all of it but some of it is just nuts (in a good way).

Albert Exergian recently completed a series of posters on the theme of popular TV shows. He kept with an extremely minimal approach throughout the entire series. Minimal is the new black (and I think it is here to stay for a while).

I have posted the GDI’09 website before but ran across this poster at Dropular today and had to repost the GDI website. The site was created to showcase the work of 2009 graduates of BA(Hons) Graphic Design & BA(Hons) Illustration at the University of Brighton. There is just some stellar work in the student portfolios. Really inspirational.

The Church of London emailed while I was on holiday to let me know about the latest issues of Little White Lies and Huck magazine. Both of the current issues are running features on Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are. To commemorate the release of the film they hired Geoff McFetridge (who created the final credits for the movie) to create an illustration that can be split across the covers when they are placed next to one another. The issues were released on October 31st.
