Prolific American Film Director Sidney Lumet passed away over the weekend at the age of 86. His life’s work will be remembered and enjoyed for many generations to come.
I have been lately completely consumed on an obsessive compulsive kick to collect Alamo Drafthouse Cinema silkscreen posters and have recently come into possession of illustrator Tim Doyle’s poster for the Astor Theator screening of Apocalypse Now Redux. After seeing Tim’s work for both Astor and the Alamo Drafthouse, I discovered a treasure trove of gig posters in Doyle’s Flickrfolio stretching way way back. I could tell you where I get my posters but afterward I would have to kill you.

Onformative is a studio that was founded by Julia Laub and Cedric Kiefer in Berlin and focuses on generative design solutions covering various types of media and topics. In their portfolio lies some downright unusual but truly brilliant work. There are also some much larger images of their work available in their Flickrfolio.
Tim Navis is a ‘simple dude’ who likes beautiful things and knows how to capture them through the lens of his camera. Sometimes his imagery hints at darker subtexts but there is definitely a beauty throughout his portfolio.
Portuguese graphic designer Rui Ribeiro has some clean and classic minimalist work in his portfolio that clearly isn’t afraid to use negative space.
