Barcelona-based Hey Studio have updated yet again with more simple and inspiring design work. They are adding on one project at a time to their portfolio, but each project is worth noting in it’s own right. ‘Hey’ is really churning out some clean and beautiful graphic design.
The portfolio of Minneapolis-based design studio Workerman has some nice examples of smart and simple design. Some of which (including the poster you wish you’d thought of) can be taken home via their online store.
Comments Off on Michael Paul Young: Updates (Again)Graphic Design
It wasn’t long ago that Michael Paul Young (one half of the YWFT partnership) put some new work up, but it appears he has just recently launched an entirely new website with yet more tasty tidbits of design and motion graphics work.
The always inspirational Minneapolis designer/illustrator and now typographer Travis Stearns appears to have updated recently with a new website. It looks as though he is working hard at type design and his efforts are putting forth some great looking typefaces.
Autodidakt is the portfolio of Göran Söderström who began designing typefaces in 2006. He has since had typeface families picked up by several foundries including Veer.
Comments Off on Benjamin Hennessy: UpdatesGraphic Design
Graphic designer/illustrator Benjamin Hennessy just got in touch to notify me that he has recently launched a new website showcasing some newer work. Digging the type treatment above.
An old friend of mine has recently started a letterpress printing company here in Denver called Birks and Birks. They are already producing some attractive work. I first took notice over this summer when they completed a print for my amazingly talented friend Mike Scarano’s entry into Artcrank (which you can see above). I can personally endorse B&B’s services having worked with them in the past. I know they are committed to the finer details of the letterpress craft. I am hoping to complete a project with them in the near future.
German illustrator Mark Gmehling has some very unusual and terribly fun 3D illustrations in his Behance portfolio. They are very well rendered and look like they would make for nice vinyl toys.
Comments Off on Jasper Goodall: UpdatesIllustration
Apparently this news has been circulated pretty far and wide already, so I apologize for missing it but illustrator Jasper Goodall has updated with a new website and just a slight few new pieces of work.
Dublin-based branding/design agency, We Make Design has some crispy clean work in their Behance-folio. By far my favorite work is the exhibition catalog created for the ‘Forty-eight Posters’ exhibition of Josef Muller-Brockmann’s work at the Image Now Gallery. I was absolutely obsessed with Brockmann while I was in college and I would seriously kill someone to get my hands on the poster or print above. I can’t tell from the Image Now website but it might be a part of the exhibition catalog which is sold out at their website.
I am serious, if someone knows where I can get my hands on the above (pictured above) poster or catalog please let me know. It’s beautiful.
Tanya Johnston has created her own unique brand of geometric-inspired psuedo-science surrealism. There is a contemplative quiet about her imagery too that is very attractive. She falls under one of those hard-to-define categories of part art, part graphic design and part digital illustration.
StudioKxx has updated yet again with not only new and stunning illustration work but a new website to boot. They keep getting better and I am picking up on what they are laying down.
