Australian painter Jon Cattapan has lead a rich and experienced artistic life that has informed his work with figures materializing from ghostly orbs of color.

Self taught oil painter, illustrator and photographer, Mattijn Franssen has developed a magnificent catalogue of work, most specifically his fanciful photo montage work! He also maintains a Flickr page thats worth a look.
Toulouse-born (France) and now London-based ATMA has some very interesting collage work in his artistic portfolio. Great use of color.
Strange but smart art by AIDS-3D (Daniel Keller & Nik Kosmas).
Via (one of my favorites) Today and Tomorrow.
This is really cool. I agree completely with what Glaser has to say about drawing. I do it more in spurts than I do every day, but I am always working on at least 1 drawing and have been since I was about 5 years old. It’s a lifetime practice that once is established, you never really shake. You just keep drawing. Via The Denver Egotist.
Italian artist Mauro Perucchetti is responsible for some of the most amazing, striking and provacative sculpture and object art that I have seen in some time. It’s a little bit of sex with a touch of violence mixed up with whole lotta pop. I think I like it.
Brooklyn-based artist Vince Contarino has some amazing use of color happening within his abstract drawings, paintings and collages. Beautiful work.
Scot emailed me last week and asked that I mention he has an upcoming show this month here in Denver at the Andenken Gallery (the venue where Manifest Hope took place). Scot really busts his ass on his artwork and I have a feeling he is pulling out all the stops on this one so it shouldn’t be missed. Unfortunately I will be in Sunderland, England for a show I will be exhibiting at this weekend.
So on October 17th at Andenken Gallery I am asking that if you are in Denver you show up for Mr. Lefavor because I know he will definitely be showing up for Denver.
This chair by Vladimir Tsesler (the combined works and studio of Tsesler and Voichenko) is nothing short of hot hot hot. The chair is just one tiny piece of their large and rather indescribable body of work.
Florida-based Yasly is a collective of artisans, designers and craftsmen whose mission is to cultivate old world techniques into tangible expressions of thought.
Painter Paul Wackers creates eclectic and colorful works drawing from numerous spheres of influence.
Succession has generated some complex gif art and I have absolutely no idea how it was created. It would be nice to know more about him/her as well.
I know I have seen and posted the work of Leander Herzog in the past, but I revisted his Flickr-folio today and only again realized how sprawling and truly experimental it is. Trying to just pick one image out of such a huge archive just doesn’t seem to do it all justice.
The work of artist (maybe illustrator?) Andreas Barsleth is a bit of a strangely psychedelic romp.
This is a collaborative animation by Blu and David Ellis for the 2009 Fame Festival. Wow. I mean mind-blowing brain matter scatter wow.

Devin Troy Strother takes a mixed media approach to his work as you can tell from the materials used to create the work above (gouache, acrylic, cel vinyl, and silkscreen on cut paper). The end result of these efforts is a tactile-feeling two dimensional image bursting with vibrant color and movement.
I was just really impressed by the wood-carving sculpture work of German artist Gehard Demetz today. His work is just a marvel to behold. His craftsmanship and the contemplative nature of his work is truly an inspiration. Although he does have his own website, the best way to take in his work is through a simple Google image search.
