Brazilian Illustrator/artist João Ruas appears to have updated his website and possibly his portfolio with a few new samples of his amazing talent. Even if there isn’t anything all that new at his site, this is still a perfect opportunity to refamiliarize yourself with his work.
Everson Nazari AKA Indio San is a Brazilian illustrator who has worked extensively in motion with a wild and imaginative portfolio of work. I really liked the definition of illustration written in his biographical section: “Illustration is a clearly defined act of making art, the goal of wich is to illuminate a piece, a visual representation that is used to make some subject more pleasing or easier to understand.”
Brazilian vector illustrator Cristiano Siqueira has updated just in time for World Cup with some famous football players (Kaka is depicted above). That isn’t the only new thing happening in his portfolio. There is also a lot of new illustration work including some highly developed digital painting work.
Freelance Brazilian motion designer Gabriel Rocha has worked for clients and agencies across the globe. He recently relaunched his website featuring some bold and colorful new work.
Feral Kid is the art work of João Ruas who was born in São Paulo, Brazil. After a stint in London from 2004 to 2007 he is now home again in São Paulo but has been exhibiting internationally. You can view his feminine form inspired surrealism at both his website and in his Flickr-folio.
Molho is the work of Brazilian director Marcelo Altino Garcia. He has created across numerous disciplines and takes a unique individualist approach to each project. I have posted his work before but he has recently updated with some new and noteworthy projects. He has a large body of work already on display and he is definitely someone to keep an eye on in the future.
Umm, geez what to say about the website ‘De 1 Up‘ other than Brazil is totally awesome and just start clicking around for what can only be described as a brain-jarring acid flashback for what I guess is a promotion for toothpaste?
Comments Off on Bicicleta Sem Freio: UpdatesIllustration
The Brazilian design and illustration trio known as ‘Bicicleta Sem Freio’ (bicycle with no brakes) that is comprised of Douglas de Castro, Victor Rocha and Renato Reno have continued to fill their Flickr-folio with fantastically kitschy work that is downright impossible not to like. I am digging their brand of cynical pop big time.
Talented motion designer Nando Costa uploaded a new reel for 2010 a couple of days ago. You can now also view his complete body of work at archive.nandocosta.com.
Young Brazilian designer Nelson Balaban has updated with some maravilloso new work. I like that he is staying away from boxing himself in with a specific style and approaching each project as a unique and individual effort. It makes you harder to define or single out but I think that is the way of the future. He also has work up at both Flickr and Behance for you to check out.
Brazilian Art Director Vinicius Costa has updated with a slick new website full of even slicker work. He is currently in the employ of 1st Avenue Machine and specializes in visual effects.
I can’t tell you much about Alecio Braga Junior other than I am guessing he might be Brazilian and I am loving some of his pencil work in his Flickr-folio.
Bold, colorful, crisp and aggressive illustration and design work are brimming over the portfolio of Brazilian design firm Firmorama. Even their name insinuates that you are in for a celebration, and you most certainly are.
Portuguese (sorry I thought he was Brazilian but João corrected me) graphic designer João Oliveira sent an email today letting us know he has updated his portfolio with some new work. Some people don’t dig the more densely layered and colorful digital work, but I think he is one of the best at what he does and I have always been a big fan of his work.
Lucas Nasson is a Brazilian born graphic designer who now resides in New York. He sent me a link to his website several days ago and I somehow missed it but was pleasantly surprised to discover a really beautiful body of print work in his portfolio.
