Very interesting scroll of print work.

Melbourne based graphic design Aalan Van Roemburg completed a Bachelor of Multimedia Design at the Swinburne National School of Design, where he was Awarded a Scholarship for Honours Degree in Multimedia Design. He has since worked for DTDigital a OgilvyInteractive Worldwide company. After a stint freelancing he co-founded a web-delivered video conferencing system called ParkSlide. Matte is a retail branding boutique based in the heart of Amsterdam specializing in the strategic positioning of products and services.
Brooklyn based freelance artist & designer Salvatore Dell’Aquila aka Salvation Design sent word about a recent cover he illustrated for Computer Arts UK. It turned out pretty slick and is definitely some sweet eye candy. Salvatore has kept himself busy and continues to update his portfolio on a fairly regular basis.
Justin David Cox is a designer and illustrator living in the Lone Star State of Texas. He is a part of the creative collective Public School based in Austin. He has a very small but very smart portfolio of poster work. The above image is for a poster for the band ‘Cut Copy’. Get it?
Andreas Pihlström has updated his sublime portfolio at Suprb with a new look and of course some excellent work but for some reason I was drawn to his ‘dynamic music video’ generated for his friend Alexi Delano’s track RUN-00. But to be honest, you can’t really go wrong with anything in Pihlström’s body of work.
I wish I could tell you more about Sosososo, but all I can really say is that I think they are Japanese and I really like some of their rather crisp minimal work.
London based designer and illustrator Owen Gildersleeve uses almost anything he can get his hands on to create his unique images and arrangements. Paper, cross-stitching, bis of wool, pine needles and fruit cake. He is a graduate from The University of Brighton. He is part of the Evening Tweed design collective, and one half of the band Old Mayor, signed to Paradigms Recordings.
It’s been a very very long time since I’ve mentioned the work of German designer Falko Ohlmer and he has since updated his portfolio with a lot of really fun and downright good looking work. Talk about fun, how fun would it be to create a design to be printed on a kiteboard?
French designer/illustrator Xavier Bourdil has updated his portfolio at Trust in Elements with some new digital mashup illustration work featuring some slick tricks resulting in some sweet eye candy.
“Xavier Encinas is an Art Director and Graphic Designer living and working in Paris, France.
He is the Design Director of Under The Influence (French Fashion Magazine) and The Lab (Canadian Culture Magazine). He is also the founder and editor of Swiss Legacy (Graphic Design blog)”
Xavier recently relaunched his site and made some big updates to his portfolio. There is some top notch design work happening throughout and any designer is guaranteed to find some inspiration happening within.
“CitID is a project were designers and artists from around the world are encouraged to create a visual interpretation of the city closest to their heart. CitID is a non-commercial project. Our motivation is to create a one-of-a-kind library of designs that will inspire and hopefully create a better understanding of the world we live in.”
This looks like it could be an interesting project that could eventually make for an inspirational book. Submit something from your city today. I am thinking about putting something up for Denver at some point.
Quirky French studio Akatre has been very busy updating with several new and original works in their portfolio. Akatre was founded by Julien Dhivert and Sebastien Riveron and continues to evolve with experimental and original work. They are definitely a studio to watch as it’s impossible to forecast exactly what they will do next.
Onetime Changethethought Editor Luke Williams has stayed busy since moving to Chicago after graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He has recently been picking up the camera with more frequency to capture some interesting image studies including the one above. I had no idea how creepy tongues could be.
Mark Bloom notified me earlier this week that some updates have been made to the East London/Essex based Mash Creative portfolio including some nice print and branding work.
