Retro-inspired digital collage designer, artist and illustrator Mark Weaver has updated his website and portfolio with more of those images that are absolute candy. It is impossible not to like his imagery. I dare you to try.
Not only is Yale (MFA) student Zak Klauck’s name fun to say, his clean and cracking graphic design work is fun to look at.
Graphic designer Simon Page produced a series of retro-style posters to commemorate the International Year of Astronomy. The posters were originally created as self promotional work but IYA09 was so impressed by them they decided to use them to help promote the event.

Blue River is a Newcastle-based graphic design studio responsible for some beautiful work. They have created several print pieces for the Baltic Museum in Newcastle and I actually just attended the Parrworld exhibit while I was there and came away thoroughly impressed. They have also generated collateral for Design Event which I just recently returned from taking part in. I discovered their work while browsing Grafik Cache today (probably one of my favorite purely graphic design blogs as of now).
Leeds-based graphic designer and art student at Leeds Metropolitan University (but one time Brighton native) Andy Callahan already has some strange and fascinating work in his young portfolio. You can’t tear your eyes away from the poster above.
There are some brilliant ideas happening in the portfolio of Ji Lee which probably explains his employment history for places like Google Creative Lab, Droga 5 and Saatchi and Saatchi.
Minneapolis design firm/screenprinting shop hybrid Flora Fauna World has a small cache of red hot gig posters in their portfolio. And yes, they are available for sale.

A calendar as well as individual prints created for each month from the contributing artists have been made available at Lifelounge from this year’s Some Type of Wonderful. Siggi Eggertsson’s print (above) turned out nicely.
Frozzen Magazine is an online publication that I had never heard of until I received an email from them alerting me that they had a new issue available for viewing. I was really impressed by what was covered within the online magazine and definitely came away inspired after a flip-through. Good stuff.

Ishbu is the work of David Walters who is currently a senior year with the University of Idaho studying Graphic Design. His work (which in my opinion is more illustrative than graphic design) is already far better than a lot of people already working in the field.
