Parisian artist/illustrator/designer Xavier Barrade emailed that he has a new website and work up. All of which is quirky and unusual.
Creative agency, Clusta has updated both their website and portfolio in a big big way. Not only is the work fantastic, so is the website. It’s exactly what an agency site should be. Simple, sleek, attractive and focused on the portfolio.
Fellow design blog Form Fifty Five put together a nice interview with designer/typographer Alex Trochut, whom everyone has been hot on in the last year or so. They did a great job putting together the interview edit and the questions were provided by readers of a the blog.
You can visit the actual page for the interview at FFF here and see some comments from FFF readers. Great work guys and a good interview to boot. Look forward to more of this from FFF in the near future.
I was really impressed by the illustrative works of Marumiyan who emailed his work in yesterday. Marumiyan lives in Fukuoka, Japan and works as an illustrator and graphic designer. There is some really striking use of color and composition happening in some of the illustrative work.
Graphic designer and illustrator Robi Jõeleht has updated with some really spectacular color and typography work.
It has been a long while since I mentioned the graphic design exploits of Thomas Brooks. Since my last post he has been busy updating his portfolio with some really beautiful type and image work. Love the layout above.
Mark Weaver likes nature and outer space (two things close to my heart as well) and he experiments by collaging those loves into some really interesting layouts that you can see in his Flickr-folio. He updates often so check back.
Typcut is an interesting ongoing experiment happening within a circle of contributing designers and illustrators.
Manchester-based graphic designer/art director, Adam Rix has some really nice work spanning a broad range of mediums in his portfolio.
It has been a very long while since I last dropped in on Matt Owens’ fantastic work at Volumeone. There is a lot more going on since the last time I checked up and their is a much wider and even more amazing body of work there than the last time I visited. Owens has been at if for a while now and that experience shows in the work.
Graphic Designer/Typography/Illustrator Julien De Repentigny has updated with some really sensational new dimensional typography work. That is only one part of the setup, however. The other part is photographing that type in vivid color, which he does equally well.
Designer/painter/illustrator/photographer Eli Horn has updated with a new site and a lot of really interesting new work. He has a really unique eye and isn’t afraid one bit to just go off the rails and experiment. Consequently, his portfolio is widely varied but all of the work is unique.
Retro-inspired drawing/paper-cutout/collage Illustrator Jean Jullien has updated with some new signature-styled work.
Manchester-based designer Paul Tebbot has some really simple, clean and a bit 70’s inspired poster work happening in his Flickr-folio at Horizon Fire. The combination of which is very easy on the eyes.
