Mitch Monson is a good friend of ours and he is also an extremely talented friend. He has an extensive and unique experience in the realm of broadcast design and branding. It’s a difficult corner of the business that takes a level of expertise in understanding how to stay on brand but still generate something beautiful. Mitch is one of the best in the business at achieving this balance. He’s currently located in Minneapolis but splits time in Denver because of his love for all things pertaining to the mountains. He’s currently working under the name ‘KIND’ and you can see some of his work in his Behance portfolio.

Artist Winston Chmielinksi’s work blends photography, collage and paint and in doing so blurs the lines between the subject and the abstraction thereof.

While in New York recently I had the good fortune to meet up with Ryan and Jonathan, founders and all around nice guys over at Lucky, one of the many up and coming digital agencies on the NY scene. In addition to kicking out some great viral and branded content, they’ve also been busy developing a pretty outstanding database of viral videos that may be found at The Viral Collection. Whether you’re looking for the Jawbone ‘Wednesday Was a Good Day’ video or the Hot Wheels Indy 500 stunt, TVC is a viral gold mine.

“A short film celebrating 50 years of Amnesty International Shining a Light on human rights issues through the power of letter writing. Created pro-bono by the Betterment Bureau, a department of Loyalkaspar inc”
It’s obvious that the Betterment Bureau cares deeply about what Amnesty International represents and didn’t hold back despite this being a pro-bono piece on pouring in all the passion they could muster.

There is some crazy colorful dimensional typography happening in the portfolio of Polish designer/typographer Piotr Tarka. From the looks of his book his work is attracting some big clients as well. He’s not shy about his use of color and love of pop.

UK illustrator Boneface doesn’t have much to say about himself at his website but his violent, bloody superhero-obsessed work says more than enough about him and his talent.

With just this single new image created for the cover of Paper Diamond’s EP ‘Levitate’ all of my interest in Raccoon Nook’s work was completely restored. He is remarkably talented and one of those new and frightening breeds of creative capable of doing almost anything he sets his hand to and doing it with expertise.

This is a friendly reminder not to forget about the downright knockdown dragout kickass studio known as Invisible Creature. We have been knee deep in motion design and 3D lately at our studio but seeing Invisible Creature’s new work makes me want to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty with print again. Their work has been an inspiration to me for several years now and every update to their portfolio yields a new source for that inspiration.

Sorry to copy and paste but this is a very well written and informative bio so:
“Senior Graphic Designer & Illustrator Rejane Dal Bello has been based in The Netherlands since 2004. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, she began her career working for renowned branding & design companies in Brazil.
After her BA in Graphic Design in Rio de Janeiro, Rejane went on to study under Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She completed a MA at Post St Joost Academy in The Netherlands in 2006. During her MA, Rejane joined Studio Dumbar, a graphic design studio that has established a unique position in the Dutch Design scene.
Rejane is currently a Senior Design at Studio Dumbar, as well as a member of the faculty of Post St Joost Academy, where she teaches Graphic Design and Creative Process.”
Rejane is a powerhouse packed punch of everything I love, Brazil, color, typography, Rio and Milton Glaser. Good stuff. No. Great stuff.
