Sergio Rodríguez is a Barcelona based designer and illustrator working under the name Serse Graphics who has some fun and vibrant work in his portfolio. He’s ambitious and when he sees a contest or opportunity he gets after it.

Norwegian design studio MVM has made some small updates to an already inspiring portfolio. The work is pure, simple, modern, contemporary and yet still retains a sense of classicism. Keep an eye on this studio.
Steve Seeley struck a special cord with me considering my longstanding fetish for all things He-Man. I actually have my original Castle Greyskull sitting on my new desk in our studio. So when I dropped in on Seeley’s work at The Delicate Matter I was immediately made a fan when I saw the above image and the addition of the bear’s head only managed to up the volume level on the awesome dial. Seeley paints in acrylic and it doesn’t stop at He-Man and bear heads. Might I also recommend looking into his Creature Project as well. Ok, I guess I just did recommend it. So there.
Illustrator Jasper Goodall sat down for a moment during the Sydney leg of the Semi-Permanent event this year to talk about his work, his inspirations and his experience. He will also be speaking at the Brisbane Semi-Permanent event in early June.
Freelance graphic designer and illustrator Jan Feliks Kallwejt is now currently based in Barcelona and Warsaw. He has just updated with more vector goodness and continues to own his own special space in the world of vector illustration.
Wow, I am really digging some of the recent work of Polish illustrator Raphael Vicenzi A.K.A. My Dead Pony. You can check out his work at his website (which I have featured before) but you can also see some more recent uploads in his Behance portfolio.
Ratinan Thaijareorn A.K.A.”ISE” is a 24 year old illustrator who was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She recently received her degree in Visual Communication Art & Design from Rangsit University and is now accepting commissions. Her fashio-inspired work is striking and her recent project for Tiger Translate 2010 features some popping color and silky smooth illustration work.
“Final Decline & Total Collapse is a series of 50 posters dealing with themes of loss and decline through the image of antiquated chairs from bygone eras.”
Illustrator Anthony Gerace is responsible for this collection of images that I had no choice to post because of my love of print, illustration and vintage furniture. Ace.
The people behind The Brighton Freak Show followed up informing us they had posted a video about the show detailing their efforts and explaining why they wanted to host the exhibition. They also sent a link to a Flickr page where you can see some images of both the work, the process and the end result. It was nice to see such comprehensive coverage of the event. I just wish we could have been there.
Talented illustrator and designer Mario Hugo has kept busy and recently updated with some new examples of his fantastic work. He remains one of my favorites and it’s great to see him doing so well since he launched his studio.
Finnish illustrator Jesse Auersalo informed us that he has updated his portfolio with new examples of his dark, moody, sexy, soft and silky imagery. Although I love his works in black and white, I was immediately drawn to the single illustration rendered in color.
Sasha Prood graduated in 2007 from Carnegie Mellon University School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She takes a hands-on approach to her design and illustration work and as a result has some very nice drawn typography in her portfolio.
Kaeleen Wescoat-O’Neill just graduated from the Art Center College of Design and informed me today that she has recently updated her portfolio with some new illustration work that is worth checking out.
Canadian designer, artist, actor, thinker, mentor and pirate Taylor David is oozing with style. His stylized retro-twinged collaging makes for highly commercially viable imagery and if you dare click on his ‘info’ section you will in turn be treated to a highly commercially viable looking kind of a guy with a whole lot of hair.
Dorset based illustrator Paul Blow has updated with a new website and work. He is a rare breed of illustrator who put concept above style and it’s exactly that approach that makes all of his images so engaging.
I can’t really say much about Sean Dekkers because he doesn’t say anything about himself at his new website. He does however have some excellent work for motion in his portfolio.
Melbourne based Leif Podhajsky’s psychedelic collage digital collage work has popped up all over the creative blogosphere but his work isn’t often seen applied to more commercial projects. However, he has recently posted some album art for ‘Tame Impala’s’ album ‘Inner Speaker’. Not only is ‘Tame Impala’ a kick ass band, Podhajsky retro-tinged work is a perfect pairing for their music and I am really digging the covers. If they produce LPs, they would look pretty slick framed and hung on a wall.
Artist and illustrator Tae Querney was born in Seoul, Korea but grew up in Seattle and is currently living in New York City. She has an interesting yet still somewhat small body of work one half featuring more contemporary art and the other illustration. I just couldn’t take my eyes off of the painting above, it’s like passing by a train wreck. You can’t look away.
