PJ Richardson’s is the founder of Laundry but he wanted to share a new website featuring more of his hand-drawn and experimental work. There is some excellent typography, drawing and collage happening in his personal portfolio providing evidence that his unique talent has strongly contributed to Laundry’s success.
AOL Artists is an avenue for exploring the work of artists, illustrators and designers whose work is ‘helping shape art and design today’. It seems a little vague but there are some really great people represented on the site and there is a lot of inspiring content to explore. The above piece is by the always-inspiring and wonderfully weird La Boca.
German design studio Aim is putting out some interesting work including some digital collages that should inspire an exprimental Photoshop exploration or two.
Brand design agency The Consult has been recently updating their exceptional portfolio with new examples of inspiring print pieces. They are very good at what they do and worth keeping tabs on.
Design powerhouse Marque Creative has recently updated with some genuinely gorgeous new print work in their already highly esteemed portfolio. There is some truly inspiring work to behold in an amazing considered portfolio.
Serse Rodríguez is a Barcelona based graphic designer and typographer who just relaunched his website and moved his URL. He’s got some fun and colorful work in his portfolio and has a lot of new projects posted.
Gabe Re is a Denver-based graphic designer currently working for Collective Licensing where he produces graphics for snowboard and skateboard companies. Not a bad gig. I have actually completed several projects for Collective as well. They are wonderful people and Gabe is super talented. He also attended my university which is something that I rarely speak of. I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and majored in Visual Communication and Design. Gabe did the same and we received the same militant, typography-heavy, Bauhaus-inspired education that has allowed both of us to continue staying employed. It was an amazing place to go to school and it’s always great to see someone else out there rocking and rolling with the same pedigree.
New Orleans based designer Scott Campbell has recently been updating his growing cache of gig posters with some classic new additions. He takes a simple approach that makes for a rather timeless appeal.
French design/I am not entirely sure ‘A Is A Name’ have updated with well some rather strange projects that do inspire a bit of imaginative wonder.
DesignBy.TwoPoints has updated with some exceptional work that is very inspiring. They are not afraid to experiment in the name of educational investigation to better themselves and refresh their bag of tricks for client commissioned work. It’s great to see a studio pushing themselves in such a manner and it’s easy to expect that TwoPoints is only going to get better with time.
Trevor Conrad graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the MFA Graphic Design department. He then went on to intern at Pixar Animation Studios where he created graphics for set, motion and character designs for the upcoming Cars 2 film. He now resides in San Francisco where he works as an Art Director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners. He’s an avid reader of Changethethought, often posting comments and occasionally sending me an email or two. He just launched his own website were you can see some excellent work that he has recently completed at Goodby.
Talented Icelandic designer Jónas Valtýsson has updated with new work added to his portfolio. Jónas is originally from Reykjavík but now resides in Mosfellsbær ‘where the mountains see everything and the trees keep secrets’. He has recently began freelancing and is currently looking for new project work. In my opinion, he’s only just getting warmed up and I’d expect to see even more amazing work from him in the future.
Triboro is a design studio located in Brooklyn and consists of the husband and wife team of David Heasty and Stefanie Weigler. They have just relaunched their website where you will find a healthy portfolio of very well executed design project work.
Workshop consists of two designers, Tom Pratt and Oliver Shaw, and one dog, Betty the beagle. They have some lovely typography and print work in their portfolio and look poised to be adding some even better work in the near future.
Italian designer and illustrator Nazario Graziano has launched a new website and updated his portfolio with several fun new digital collage illustrations.
Young Minneapolis based graphic designer Erik labors under the name Woods And Weather and recently updated with some new work for Brighton, U.K.’s NowThen Magazine.
‘Take Care’ is the typographical and experimental illustration work of a Moscow based designer. There is some fun stuff happening in his Flickr pages including a lot of interesting experimental typography that is well worth checking out.
Studio Newwork recently released a new calendar for 2011 where they composed dates as musical notes. The calendar is silk screened on large ( 26 ” x 40″) and thick weight stone henge paper rough-edged paper in an edition of 100.
