Craig Redman is an Australian born artist living and working in New York. He uses simple and concise forms to communicate and has worked with Rinzen where he had a chance to work with some amazing clients along with having 2 books published.
I stumbled upon the work of London based illustrator Matt Lyon today and was genuinely impressed and inspired by his work. His choice of colors and the simple but extremely effective ways that he organizes vector forms yields some awesome results. I would buy a print of the above work in a heartbeat. Beautiful stuff.
I dropped in on Mike Orduña yesterday after seeing some really endearing pictures of him and his son on Facebook yesterday. I always feel like some weird stalker when I look at stuff like that on Facebook but something shows up in your feed and you click on a picture and the next thing you know you are looking at something like that. Facebook kind of weirds me out because of that. Seeing him with his son did make me excited to be a dad though.
Anyway, Mike who goes by the name ‘Fatoe’ has some new work in his portfolio and as always it’s worth checking out.
You may or may not have noticed that we updated our portfolio with a new website. You can view our work by clicking the ‘work’ button above our blog or go directly to Cttcreative.com. We officially launched our studio 6-8 weeks back and have been working very hard on several new projects. We have assembled a very talented team of people here in Denver who are hungry for new project work. Changethethought studio now has capabilities in graphic design, illustration, motion graphics, editing, web design and development. I guess you could call us full service. We’ve recently worked on projects for Nike, Airwalk, IBM and Sony.
Currently we are working locally on some projects here in Denver, Colorado but are hoping to expand with some international project work. If you have a project you feel we would be right for or would just like to talk ideas with us, you can reach us at hire(at)changethethought.com. We would love the opportunity to create for your agency or brand.
Talented minimalist Spanish graphic designer Eduardo del Fraile has updated his portfolio with some strikingly colorful new work. Congrats on your country’s win in the World Cup Eduardo.
Norwegian visual communication studio Grand People have updated with some new and very eye-catching new design work. Their new site does an excellent job of proudly displaying their bold and colorful design work.
Argentinian designer and typographer Javier Bernales has some excellent experimental typography in his ‘Black Book’ which you can see in his Behance-folio. There is something ironic about posting a printed image of the word ‘click’ as a link.
Chicago based illustrator and graphic designer David Cuesta has some super fun vector illustration work in his Behance-folio. The series of images draws influence from street art and cartoons making it impossible not to like.
Russian illustrator, designer and motionographer Vladimir Tomin has some fun work in both his home website portfolio at Space Jump and also in his Behance-folio. The above image was apparently made photographing cereal and vegetables.
Raw Type is a new blog that started out as a side project. It is primarily about typography and design. It looks to be promising in the future and it might be worth adding to your bookmarks for future reference.
Brazilian Lucas Camargo A.K.A. ‘Flash’ is currently a Senior Art Director for F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi. He has a wild and varied body of work that features a vivid imagination and some really raw talent. He more than capable of shifting from pencil to screen and does so in style.
Poster Roast was established by Chris White (3d Glasses), and now assisted by his future wife Alex Curtis (Thr33 Designs) with the intention to help develop and promote Poster Artists within the UK. It is quickly becoming the UK equivalent to the insanely popular American cousin Gigposters.com. There is some really nice work up at PR and it is continuing to grow.
Glasgow based studio Graphical House have just launched an online shop with some nice minimal posters that would look attractive on the wall of any well-to-do design or advertising agency. The above is my personal favorite.
New York based illustrator, art director and graphic designer Amy Martino has kept busy updating with her simple, colorful and somewhat retro-inspired illustrations that are not only fun to look at but impossible not to like.
Josh A.K.A. Space Knuckle sent me some emails this week to notify us that he had updated his Flickr-folio with a new experimental portrait series. The study yielded some interesting results including some very fun animated gifs. Thanks for the update Josh and please keep the email submissions coming. It’s a lot easier than picking through the hundreds and hundreds of websites that I check every week.
Lisbon based design studio Alva-Alva has been updating their Flickr-folio with work lately including some very nice album art for ‘Paus’. There have been a few small updates to their home website as well and their work is always good to drop in on from time to time for inspiration’s sake.
My Boulder based friends at Cypher 13 have relaunched their blog Joyengine. There are several options for viewing the content and they have opted for a clean and crisp design this go round along with a new logo treatment. They also have some new work in their portfolio worth looking into. Their packaging for Olade beverages and design for the Biennial of the Americas collateral are particularly sharp. The site is looking sharp boys. Congratulations.
