Bison represents the work of Linsey Levendall and Daniel Orme who together form a creative studio based in Cape Town, South Africa. They have some highly illustrative, and at the other end of the scale strikingly minimal design and illustration work in their collective portfolio. All in all, it makes for a notable body of work.
Barcelona based design and illustration studio VanilaBCN has updated with a few new projects for clients including Nike and Computer Arts. Slick and colorful work.

Allan Peters is a Senior Art Director from Minneapolis working at BBDO. His work has been recognized by Effie, AdFed, AIGA, Print, How, Davey and Rockport. His series of ‘posters on a stick’ are just downright brilliant.
I can’t say much about the work of studio Losiento other than the work does all the speaking needed as it is smart and extremely sharp.
Hong Kong based designer, artist and illustrator John Woo (no joke apparently) has crafted a brilliant little series of paintings mashing pop culture references to Star Wars and popular fashion labels. Woo has an experimental portfolio showcasing a broad talent making him someone to keep an eye on since there is no telling what he will do next.
These Soundsick club flyers designed by the Spanish Art Director/Designer who goes by the name Velckro are just pure pop video game-inspired candy. How can you not love them. For lack of a better way to phrase it, they are simply ‘bad ass’. You can see more of Velckro’s art at both his personal site and in his Behance-folio.
R/GA Art Director Josh Rhode got in touch to notify us that he had updated his personal portfolio at Kulthouse. There is some colorful work happening in his portfolio and it is all housed within a really slick website.

Serbian designer Bratislav Milenkovic has some really nice graphic design work in his Behance-folio. I would love to have a mural here in our studio similar to what is going on here.
Vasava, one of my favorite Barcelonean graphic design studios has kept busy and updated with some new project work. Oh how I wish I could live there and work with them. It’s such an amazing city filled with such spirited people.
“Sicksystems is a personal art project of a Moscow-based graphic artist Aske. Though initially founded in 2003 as a graffiti crew, over the years the Sicksystems evolved into a versatile creative trio, and in 2009 it became a personal project of its founder and the most active member Aske. This site displays only Aske’s personal works.
Aske started his artistic career in 2000 as a graffiti writer, and soon enough he got involved in graphic design, modern graphics, illustration, typography and many more. He is also a Co-Founder and Editor in Chief of the best Russian graffiti magazine CODE RED.”
Aske has just updated his site with some new and very stylistic work. He has taken a new approach lately that you can see represented in his most recent illustration works. He has also recently banged out some project work for Nike and Stussy. His work made a big splash when it first hit the net a year or so back and he is still one to watch in the future.
Wow was I impressed by everything happening at Toykyo today. I have been looking a lot more deeply into studios that I consider a model for what we would like to achieve and how we would like to position ourselves as we begin the Changethethought design studio. Toykyo is dead on as to how we would like to model ourselves. Their portfolio is as diverse and amazing as it comes. They think beyond client service producing not only merchandise that they sell themselves but also cultivating talent from other designers and artists commissioning them to produce creative goods. They serve as a great model for the modern day design and creative studio. Stumbling upon them today was a great surprise.
Swedish by origin but London based by choice illustrator Martin Nicolausson has a unique style that is somehow soft and gritty all at the same time. Although the works looks as though it may have been digitally finished there is still something tangible, almost graphite-pencil like about the work. It’s a style that has gotten him a lot of attention on creative blogs as of late. Regardless of the illustration attention, Nicolausson view himself first and foremost as a graphic designer and I think you can see that best not through his illustration work but his use of typography.

Draplin Design Co. took a little swing at a logo redesign for BP or rather just a swing at BP. Couldn’t help but mention it since I share their sentiment.

Keith has some beautiful work in his portfolio that exercises a high degree of understanding what it takes to move between curation and creation. His exhibition work is truly stunning.
Fluxfilterform is the work of San Francisco based director/designer Jimmy Soat. His work is expertly executed and his portfolio showcases some brilliant art direction reaching toward a level of aesthetic most simply cannot ascertain. He recently updated with some beautiful new work. You gotta dig the yellow.
Manchester based design studio Made By Shape emailed in a note that they had just launched their new website featuring some cleanly executed design work showcasing their solution-based approach to each individual project.
