We are big fans of Toro Y Moi in our studio but we had no idea until we stumbled upon this video that Urban Outfitters had started producing music videos (and some pretty good ones at that).

My friend and local Denver-based artist Jason Thielke recently updated his website with several new pieces he has been working on for upcoming exhibitions. I’ve always liked Jason’s work and he’s got some good looking new stuff at his website.
At first I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this low-fi animation titled ‘Orpheus’ Pony’ by Michael Fragstein but then it sunk in just how much is actually going on in it and how truly psychedelic it really is, then I was hooked. Bizarre but good.
Direction: Michael Fragstein
Music : Lisa Tuyala, Marc Fragstein
Production : Büro Achter April
Shera is the alias of illustrator and painter Julien Tran-Dinh who lives and works in Paris, France. Pop art, Disney, rock and fashion have been stewed together in a violent, sexy and predominately black and white pen and ink apocalyptic mix.
Illustrator Phil Wrigglesworth knows how to present his work and does so in a way that immediately familiarizes the viewer with his visual language. It’s a smart move for an illustrator in this day and age of art and illustration as product.
Behind the considered lens of photographer Eric Ogden even the most vacant of celebrities manage to look introspective and even a little bit interesting.
I have to admit that I am a gushing fan of Sci-Fi illustrator Dan McPharlin. Everything he puts his fingers too just turns into pure magic. He has updated his Flickrfolio recently with new album art for various bands that was completed in his trademark 70’s throwback style and all of it is just beautiful. Dan is the man.
French artist Marvin De Deus Ganhitas AKA Black Gepeto is laying down some strange abstract compositions that can be enjoyed via his Flickrfolio. We likey. Very strange yet very hip and of course that perfect combination is very French.
British illustrator Daniel Mackie does one thing very well and that is watercolor. It’s a bit of a lost art sometimes when it comes to illustration but Mackie is holding his niche firmly down with some lovely work for a long list of clients.
Russian illustrator collage artist Masha Rumyantseva has an interesting perspective primarily fueled by a bygone slightly naive era that seems slightly sad when put into the modern cynical techno-industrial societal complex.
Photographer Irina Werning mined a little piece of popular art culture gold when she surmised the simple and seemingly obvious idea for her photo-series titled ‘Back to the Future’. The ‘seemingly obvious’ idea (that you wish was yours) is that by using an old photograph of her subject as a marker to help her restage the exact same environment and expression of the subject allows for a humorous and sometimes inquisitive examination of what really happens as we mature into adulthood.
Erik Månsson or Erik M▲nsson as he calls himself at his Flickrfolio is from Norrköping, Sweden where he is making some very interesting collages that make you question his interpretation of the source material and how he magically arrived at the strange final output of his final work.
Lionel Williams does not believe in fantasy, he believes in vast reality. He’s creating his own reality by appropriated found imagery into some fascinating image collages that you can see in his Flickrfolio.
Brooklyn-based illustrator Jamie Givens is cranking out some excellent colorized drawings for some local Colorado trade publications like Rock and Ice and Climbing Magazine. He took a brief hiatus a few years back to join the Peace Corps which no doubt enriched both his life and his illustration work.
Italian illustrator/artist Andrea Moresco AKA El Moro is cranking out some dare I say ‘trippy’ illustration work in his Flickrfolio with boobs, armpit hair, eyballs and all.
Artist William Crump is a multi-faceted talent capable of collaging strange found object imagery as well as drawing some excellent graphite imagery all of which vibrates with a strange, soft yet psychedelic undertone.
Strange animated gif art is happening at Antlers WiFi and it’s being collaged with some interesting choices of photography.
