This is actually an older project by one of my most favorite Spanish design and illustration studios for Nike basketball. I stumbled upon the project in Vasava’s portfolio a week back while digging for inspiration and though there were some fantastic images generated for the project.
I Love Dust was approached earlier this year by the Cartoon Network to produce something memorable for their 20th anniversary. What followed is this 2 minute mind-melting bonanza featuring original music by Mad Decent and nearly every character who’s ever moved across the screen since Cartoon Network began airing content. It’s most definitely I Love Dust’s crowning animated achievement thus far.
It’s been a long time since I dropped in on the portfolio of brand designer Gary Swindell. He’s kept busy and continued to build a portfolio of work that would make any graphic designer salivate. The work is rich, classic, bold and beautiful.

This morning we will release our first ever screen printed movie poster for the classic silent German expressionist masterpiece Nosferatu. There are two editions of the poster available. 170 regular posters will be available for $40. Each poster is hand signed and numbered by the artist. The regular version is 3 colors with 1 metallic and 1 glow in the dark ink. 70 German Variant posters will be available for $60. Each poster is hand signed and numbered by the artist. The variant version is 4 colors with 1 metallic and 1 glow in the dark ink. Both posters were designed and illustrated by Christopher Cox. Both posters were printed by D&L Printing. We had the GID ink overloaded so they glow very brightly in the dark. It’s a lot of fun to see in person.
We won’t be shipping overseas. We can ship to Canada for an up charge of 5 dollars. We will refund combined shipping orders. Combined shipping is 20 dollars. I was lucky enough to be invited to exhibit a poster at the grande opening of the Bottleneck Gallery tonight in Brooklyn. The opening show is about artwork inspired by ‘premium cable’. I did a pretty straight-forward take on the Sopranos as it is by far my favorite premium cable show of all time. The poster is 2 colors at 18×24 inches and their will be 50 for sale at the gallery tonight if I am not mistaken. They were printed by the wonderful people at P&L here in Denver. I do have around 25-30 copies left over that I will put up online later this month. More details about the show at Bottleneck’s website. If you are in town please attend. Antony Crook understands his camera and it serves as an extension of his inner being. There is a sense of wanderlust and a fascination for celebrity in his work but each image instills a quiet and contemplative mood that definitely inspires one to leave the comfort of your desk and see a bit more of the world.
Illustrator Angelica Alzona likes to keep things a bit dark with moody brooding imagery that is occasionally lightened by just a hint of fantasy.
You don’t exactly see a long list of designers and illustrators from Trinidad and Tobago but Gerrel Saunders makes the cut with some hot and brightly colored poptastic illustration work.
Metropolismoloch is the work of an Italian designer named Lorenzo. He has a thing for recreating movie titles in that throwback style that seems lost on a passed era of cinema. It’s a super fun concept and provides strong inspiration for typography.

Chilean artist and illustrator Felipe Vargas Lübbert has been making the go rounds the internets and blogosphere with the above image. His colorful, airbrushed and slightly-retro-tinged illustration work is easy on the eyes and lots of fun to look at. It’s his more science fiction based work that I find most interesting.
Science Fiction illustrator Kilian Eng updates his amazing portfolio yet again with more insanely beautiful and striking imagery. He continues to be a source of both inspiration and a wellspring of imagination.
Illustrator Stefaan De Croock has some dense and detailed illustration work on his website that is vibrant and kinetic. He’s equally good at translating said imagery from paper to walls and as a result does his share of mural work.
Illustrator Pietari Posti was someone I used to check in on regularly back a year or two ago. It’s been a long time since I have browsed his work but there has been an update and what looks like a new website. Posti is still rocking with some exceptionally artistic and colorful imagery.
I am not sure if I posted this when it first hit the interwebs but even if I did, it is worth a second watch. The Mill continues to stun with jaw-dropping work. It’s nice that they actually kept track of every spot on the reel also.
